Hey LV lovers,
I am not sure if this topic has been posted but I wasn't able to find it so I'll just start a new thread.....
So, the other day I got a call from Louis Vuitton's client services and was told that the speedy 25 and bastille bag both in empreinte have manufacturing defects to the handle. Something about over time the moisture causes the bottom of the handles to become "sticky". Anyways, the guy I talked to gave me two options: either bring them to the store for a free repair or exchange them for BRAND NEW BAG(S)!!! Of course I chose the latter! Keep in mind both of these bags are older models that I got back in 2013 and 2014 so they've been well loved! I paid a little over $5900CAD for both of these bags and they gave me $7000CAD store credit in exchange for my old bags!!! Talk about a good deal lol.
SOOO, last night I went into my local Louis Vuitton store (Alberta, Canada) and I was still skeptical about all this because it just sounded too good to be true right? Anyways, the store manager was very friendly and assigned a young sales guy to help me with my exchange (I had booked an appointment over the phone with client services to let them know which day I am going in). Long story short, I traded my two used bags for two BRAND NEW BAGS!!! Dauphine MM in Monogram and V Tote MM in Monogram Empreinte! I ended up paying only $400+ because both bags came to $7400 plus tax. I still can't believe it! This service is AMAAAAZING!!!
I told this to my sister-in-law who also owns a speedy 25 in empreinte but she never received a call from Louis Vuitton. So she called them the other day and was also qualified to exchange for a brand new bag! So if you own a speedy or bastille in empreinte and are wanting to get a new bag then I suggest you call Louis Vuitton customer service RIGHT NOW! My sister in law was told the exchange "never expires" so you could wait until the next new release before bringing your used ones in for the exchange! For me, I just didn't wanna wait LOL.
Here are a couple of pics of my new bags. I know,I should've taken better pics
