IMPULSED purchased both in the reverse monogram, and now I'm not sure if I should keep? They are already sold out online, so debating....are they worth it for the steep price tag? But darn they are absolutely adorable! Please help...lol

I know there are many many fans of these limited items but these are exactly the types of items that are bought impulsively, trendy for a period, and then you look at them and go....”why did I spend so much money on this?”

Maybe I’m just old but bc I’m older I’ve done this many times. So much wasted money.

They are cute though.

Don’t get fooled by “they are sold out online” because stock can always be replenished. Now the only questions that matter: 1) Do you love them? 2) Can you afford them? None of us can answer these questions for you.

Personally, I would have never bought these in the first place. However, I agree that they are cute.

I have seen both in person at Louis Vuitton X in Beverly Hills store. I wore the boite chapeau necklace around my neck and also cross body. They both are very cute pieces but I would say besides the cuteness, they really can’t hold anything- mini lipstick / mini mascara. I didn’t buy the bag even when the SA said it will be sold quickly. In my opinion, the boite chapeau necklace looked big as a necklace but not heavy. My petite and mini boite chapeau at least can hold a few items that needed for a dinner or shopping. It is very popular for mini bags now but I am still thinking of a bit of functionality. If you keep them, you might think of using them along with other handbag in case that you need more than just a lipstick.

Please don’t fall in the trap of sold out. That should never come into play when making your decision. I totally agree with fab! The only thing that makes us so you love them, and do you have a purpose/function/need for them. If the answers yes then buy it. If not then I reckon you should return it. Being cute is not a good enough reason for buying it because one day you’ll regret your purchase and they will become display pieces in the cupboard. Hope that helps!!

You have the mini boite chapeau? What colour? How do you find that? Is it worth the price and functionality? How do you use it? I’m always so curious how people use this bag considering the size

I feel like for the combined price of both you can get a really nice bag at LV or elsewhere. I guess it depends on your collection and if you want more bags or not. They are both super cute but in terms of functionality, they don’t hold much. My rule is if it speaks to you and you can’t stop thinking about them, then keep them!

I would return both 100%

It's a fad, and no offense to anyone who may like it, but a dumb one too. It's something I don't mind on the runway but in real life, I think it's pointless and wasted. I'm in my mid-twenties and I'm going to sound like a real prick, but money and material goods do not always equate to good taste or style.

I have a former version of the essential trunk and even if it's a great piece, I hardly use it and have been thinking about selling it, but I probably wont. These new renditions are more wearable because of the chain though and I'm considering getting a boite. But at least now I know what I'm getting myself into. These are more fun, but useless items for me at least.
