My Fairfax Pochette that I was so excited to receive. Pocket is much too crooked for my liking.
That is wild! Was the person or machine who sewed it on blind?! Is there no quality control?! I am so sorry about that; how disappointing. It’s such a cute bag and was one of my favorites from the collection, but the amount of variability and alignment issues I’m seeing on that bag (well, all of them, really) has me second-guessing everything. Will you try to exchange it for a better piece, or just return it for a refund? Good luck either way!

I would really love to know how this collection is selling overall. The general consensus I’m seeing is that most people don’t seem to be impressed with it or think the quality is worth the high price tag, and most of the pieces have been available on the US site since it launched, with the exception of the key pouch, which comes in and out of availability, and the Nano Speedy and a couple of others. But in general, it doesn’t seem too terribly hard to get your hands on something if you want it. … I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not doing as well as anticipated, but it’s hard to get an overall picture of how it’s faring/selling through worldwide. Would love for someone with insider intel to share what they’ve heard! :graucho:

I ordered the key pouch and should receive it this weekend, but I will return it if it only fits one card or a couple of lip balms; I don’t need a $550 chapstick holder! Still on the fence about the Nano Speedy; I think it’s cute and am still quite tempted, but the fact that it is so significantly more expensive than even the empreinte leather version really rubs me the wrong way. TBD!

My Fairfax is a teeny off on front pocket, but nothing compared to my on the go(returned) was so crooked the pattern was way off for sick a square bag.

I’m going to return it, as I don’t feel confident that a replacement will be any better. There’s a little complication because I can’t find the credit card that I bought the bag with, but I’d be okay getting store credit since I plan to buy something from the upcoming Sunrise Aquarelle collection in April.

What I did notice on the resale market LV older MJ denim pieces that went up in prices are starting to have plenty of price reductions. This I wasn't expecting to happen so quickly. I said this at the beginning of one of these threads that this denim collection will be sitting in the stores. When you see the merchandise up close it definitely doesn't look like stock photos. I'm just curious to see if the men's denim bags will the quality be better.

Yes I remember when you predicted months ago that it would be sitting on shelves; you called it before it even dropped! 🏆 It’s honestly crazy seeing people’s unboxing videos and photos and seeing the discrepancy between what these bags actually look like IRL and what they look like in the heavily retouched, fully stuffed versions in LV’s marketing. Since this is a limited-edition collection, I’m also curious if they pull the plug on it early, or like … when they see returns are high and demand is low, do they decide not to create more than the initial volume produced for the first drop? Basically I wonder how long these pieces will be around on their website and in stores … I can’t imagine demand being as high as they originally anticipated based on the conversations I’m seeing online, but who knows?

I’m not impressed by this collection at all. After hearing so many stories about the key pouch running small I just returned mine without even going in to see it. And I’m glad I did, one of the SAs at my store immediately posted it on her IG and it looked so out of shape/crooked. I was so glad I didn’t waste my time going in. Such a bummer bc I’ve been waiting for a key pouch that was something a little different than the usual ones. I wish they’d release a vernis one like the older style vernis cles they used to produce!

I don’t think the style of most of the denim bags translated well with the fabric. Compounded by some quality issues and high price points.

I do think it works well with the bum bag style, which I kept. And the key pouch (fortunately for mine it fits some cards).

I did return the Sunset bag. There were too many things I didn’t like about it once I had it in my possession. When I returned it, the SA seemed pretty excited to get one in the store so I feel like there are people who are buying them. But they’re kinda niche and styling them is particular.

Overall the collection was somewhat lazy and they could have done a better job with overall construction and maybe have introduced more than one color.

Totally agree re: the styles not translating well to the denim fabric they used! I feel like if they had used a sturdier denim a lot of the bags would look better; less floppy/saggy. Like they don’t have to be rigid; I understand it’s a fabric and will by nature be less structured and durable than leather, but from what I’ve heard, the denim they chose is quite flimsy and thin, which feels like them being cheap vs. making a thoughtful design decision. 😑

I also think it works better in some styles than others, like you said! My favorite bag from this collection is actually the high-rise bumbag, too, and I personally don’t really like the monogram version of that bag, but in denim I LOVE it! 😍 It just suits the style and shape so well IMHO.

I’m so glad you were able to get that and one of the unicorn key pouches that holds more! :yahoo: Fingers crossed that when I open mine this weekend it will also be slightly larger. I’m so curious to finally feel the denim for myself; I think it will help me decide if I should spring for the Nano or not. 🤔

The denim is very soft but lends itself well to the bum bag shape. If you’re looking to add one denim piece the bum bag is a safe bet! I also don‘t care for the bum bag in canvas monogram and having it in denim was a win!

I was playing with the key pouch this morning. I hope yours is a winner and you can keep it!
