I don’t find either of the straps to be uncomfortable. I would never overstuff the bag so hopefully, that won’t happen. I didn’t think the bag would be long enough for me crossbody but it’s perfect. For reference, I’m 5’10”.

Those who have a Dauphine, can you compare with your other mono canvas bags? On various pics the canvas of the Dauphine looks really matte and paler, if that makes any sense. But I’m not sure if that’s just the lighting.

Here’s a comparison pic. I bought the Porte Tresor Etuis Papiers Tri-Fold Wallet above the Dauphine in May 2001 and the canvas looks the same as my newer pieces. The more the bag is used the more it will take on the natural oils in your hands. Hope this pic helps.
