Loose Thread/stitching flaw - cause of concern?

Did you end up trying to light the thread with fire? ( English isn't my first language so I may not have said that correctly but ykwim )
If you do it, please post pics! I gotta see how it ended up.

Not yet! Still mustering the courage to do it lol. Will post pic if I end up doing it. Another option is to snip but that will leave me with loose thread still.

Take baby steps of you’re concerned. Touch the fire to the thread for a tiny second. Etc. You will see! No worries. You could try it on something less important also if that helps ease your worry. I’ve done it tons of times over the years with no issues whatsoever. Except that the thread is gone. It doesn’t burn, it sort of just melts.

With a heavy heart I think I will have to return the bag.

I gently pulled the thread up to check if is connected to the stitching and a longer thread unraveled that will eventually compromise the stitching.

Hopefully they are able to send another one.
Please keep us updated and let us know how this gets sorted out. Do you think they have more available to send?

No, they don't do exchanges. But there are some on sale right now lol. I'm deciding whether to buy or not! I still haven't gotten my refund, but if I wait....

Hey, I think I know what happened. Essentially whenever a row of stitching is finished, the threads are left longer, sometimes tied and snipped off. This looks like the tail end of a stitch that was not cut off and pushed out of the seam. I highly doubt it will effect functionality, i can see 2 other stitches on the same part and there is not much pressure on that part of the stitching anyway. I wouldn't burn it, just maybe cut it a little shorter and try to push it / tuck it back into the seam. Don't worry, no biggie!
