Did a quick run to LC after class today. The Brioches in ivory and mint are selling very well. My boutique sold out of them and only left with display pieces. The smallest size is actually smaller than the Amazone. The base is wider. The bag felt quite padded. The hardware is heavy and when I opened the bag and let go, it fell forward. The chain is not detachable and when one wears it crossbody, the chain then lies on the front flap of bag (possible indents on the leather). That said, I'm not adverse to the bag. I thought it looked more of a fun size due to the compact look VS the Amazone which can look just a notch more formal. For the larger size, my boutique is only stocking it in black.

Ok, my wallet is safe with this one. Just not a big fan of chain bags after a couple of Chanels and LVs. They tend to fall over with the weight of the chain and closure. some chains also stink after handling. How did u like the mint one?

It is not appealing to me. The colour/leather combo made it look plasticky. The red though, is stunning but I don't carry red bags much and I don't like it when the bag tips over. That said, maybe it will not tip over once there are things within. Have yet to try it with essentials.

I'm thinking about a chain bag at the moment. Have a slight gap in my bag collection for one. Have been thinking about the Brioche, but am also tempted by a Mulberry Darley! Hoping to be able to go to London in May and have a look at them.

I have always been a Mulberry fan. Hope you can have a chance to compare them in person. At first look, it feels to me that the Brioche offers more room vs the Darley. The key for me is also the chain length. I bought a Mulberry bag (forgotten the name but it looked very similar to the Darley). I returned the bag as the chain length was too short for me. Also, the leather was not as pliable as I prefer it to be. All said, I still love the looks of the Mulberry Lily and wish that there weren't so many issues reported of it.

Just received the filet and love the looks of it. Just one question to all the other owners: how do you put all your stuff in there? Like keys, wallet etc. I am scared that it will fall out through the net.

Any ideas ?

I would organize stuff into zippered pouches and then put the pouches in the tote so makeup/keys/etc can’t fall through the netting.

That’s a great idea!! Now on the hunt for nice pouches

At first I lined the scarf on the sides, but the bag was too open IMO. Now I knotted it on the handle and no one can look inside. I took a comparison pic with an unlined one. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip! I think I know what you mean by having it too open. It does look nice and neat this way!

The red one looks very cute on you! I’m afraid the small is too small for me.

I just ordered a black filet from the Longchamp website. It was the only color available, but I had decided to get black so it worked for me. I love the look of the ivory, but mine will be in my bike basket and used for groceries and the beach so I thought black would hold up better. Can't wait to get it!
