I couldn’t resist popping into LC when I did an errand at that Mall today. I took a comparison pic of Bilberry and Violet — the SA and I agree that the bilberry seemed much darker than expected. On the other hand, I quite like the Violet XS — the lambskin is unbelievably soft and I couldn’t stop squeezing it (although like most lambskin, it seems prone to wrinkling and wear, it looked a tad wrinkly in a couple places already). The color is gorgeous for sure. But I still don’t know if I can deal with the seatbelt strap. So have to wait to see the violet bucket bag when it comes in.

New Roseau bucket bag. Both short strap and long strap are detachable. The bag has buttons on the side for a cinched look. Comes with long canvas strap as pictured. I like this!

I went to the Longchamp today during my lunch break. Trying to navigate your way through 5th Ave in NYC during the holiday season is the worst. 😖 They had the Bilberry Roseau and the 3D on display. I love the color. It's a deep eggplant, it appears darker than the color that they used on the Le Pliage greens. I like both bags in medium, but those prices, especially the Medium 3D. 😳 I think I'm going to take a gamble and wait for the next sale, which should be in 3-4 months and try to grab them then, or hopefully retailers eventually get stock of them and I can buy them when they have sales. I do still need to get a couple of Le Plaige bags in the Ebony color and some other bags in Bilberry from the green line, plus there are some scarves and bandeaus I've been eyeing as well.

If at any point someone buys a Le Pliage (nylon) piece in the new Sage color, could you let us know how it compares to Cypress from last S/S? I regret not buying a larger work bag in Cypress and Sage looks pretty darn similar (and maybe even prettier)! What I really want is a deep forest green, but I’m tempering my hopes given that they did pastels and brights for F/W 23 🫠

I am definitely going to pick up something in sage, whether nylon or leather, but probably something small since I already have 1899s in lichen, Cypress khaki, and loden. Sage looks to have the same amount of depth of color as Cypress but it's not as blue.

I had Cypress before and rehomed it. It was not the dark forest green I wanted. I had a quick glimpse at the new Sage and I already like it far better than Cypress of last year. The new Sage is darker. I'll try to take snaps if and when I pass by the boutique.

Oooh this is so helpful - thank you!! This is the first “real life” photo of Sage I’ve seen; you’re right - they really are quite different (but both really pretty IMO). Ahh Cypress really was special….d’oh!
