Pandora has an Hermes belt and a few scarves and smaller H items.
I have never bought at Salou but they have lots of Birkins in the window and I think two croc birkins in the counter inside. High prices though.

Ok... First off - the owners of the store was rather nice. Very helpful.

Here is what I saw... a good collection of Birkins... but none of them (appeared) to be brand new. If the bags did get a lot of loving it was over a long period of time... as they all looked at least 5 years old...

Pricing... the 35's around the £5k mark. Thats £1,000 premium off the brand new prices, but you get the colour you like and instant gratification.

The crocks are all behind a glass cabinet - even the 30 were around that price too. Saw at least one black, one white and others were the shade of brown. From what I understand, they are all sold on consignment.

I think they would do better if they presented the bags better, or even spend the money to have the bag spruced up or restored...

Thread actually refers to Salou on Cheval Place, not pandora

I really dislike Salou - the bags are kept so badly and the women who work there (IMO) always try to sell you the worse off bags by saying they're so limited and hard to find etc. I think its a rip off for the quality.

If you want to buy a brand new Birkin in London, i would strongly recommend calling Quintessentially Gifts (you can google the number). Their bags are always brand new in box etc and they have a wide selection of colours. You pay a premium for the service and the ammenity of getting it now, but its by far the best place to buy a new Birkin, aside from H stores.

Hope this helps!

Quintessentially Gifts quoted a budget of £6,000 for a 30cm and £7,500 for a 35cm. You got to really want it really really badly....

Hi Ladies,

Thank you for all the information. I went to Salou, but as teddykins said the bags were not in great condition. But I did see 2 black crocs. They were both 35 one with gold and another with PH. I forgot the price, but way over my budget. They also had a fuschia croc with PH 30.

I agree LondonSoho - quintessentially gifts are quite expensive, but the up side is their bags are all brand new and i think they guarantee authenticity (I have never used them but a friend bought an orange togo 35cm GHW from them about a year ago and she was really pleased). I guess it depends what your looking for and budget etc. I have often toyed with the idea of buying used Birkins but at the end of the day I always come back to preferring them brand new - but each to her own!

Kshin - hope you find what you are looking for!

Judging by the number of people who have managed to secure a birkin by just walking into Hermes... why bother paying the premium?

Pandora: I have just found out WHY Pandora do not stock Hermes Birkins... they insist on a 50% commission on sale - regardless of the selling price. I mean, if you have an authentic birkin to sell... eBay is probably the only market place to sell them on.
