Sorry about my late reply! I was actually traveling in Japan and I didn’t check my emails/notifications. To answer your question, after about 6 weeks after I sent in my photos for my handle cracking repair, I received a reply from my SA indicating that she heard back from Spain and providing details for next steps as well as a quote for the repair. As of now, I haven’t yet proceeded with the repair as it would mean I would have to send in my bag, and I would rather drop it off in person to my SA. I may get the ball rolling later this month though, now that I’m back in the States. Will update when I do so.
I see! I’m still waiting for them to give me a quote - this whole process just made me realize how impatient I am Thanks for sharing your experience tho. I feel a bit better knowing that they’re just really slow and I’ll eventually hear from them! Let me know if you end up going with the repair!
I finally got to dropping off my bag with my SA and had to pay the estimated invoice first. Now, they've shipped it out to repair, and the wait begins. In the meantime, I decided to pick up a new Dior book tote!

Hello! Yes, my bag is back from Spain! My SA asked me if I wanted it shipped to me or if I could come and pick it up, but I haven't had a chance to go pick it up yet! The total time for my repairs (specifically cracked handle) was just under 12 weeks.
If it's on the way back, that means you should be getting an update from your SA real soon! I was very impressed with the way things turned out (through photos) as they also polished up the metal and cleaned up the leather. Can't wait to get mine back soon! Hope this helps!
Ended up asking my SA to ship the bag, and got it last week! It looks great; in addition to reglazing the handle and attachments, they also cleaned up the leather and polished the metal. Excited to start using it again!
That’s great to hear! I’m glad you’re happy with the result! I also received my bag from Spain. Unfortunately I wasn’t happy with their repair job..😭 I don’t think Loewe really does repair their vintage models (Mine is quite a vintage) So I decided to take it to a cobbler in nyc, and the bag came back a way better than before.
