Lizard Ombre

Hi, I have a natural ombré lizard C18 that was purchased in October 2023. Here it is in the same location 7 months later. I think maybe it’s slightly yellower/darker at the edges but really not that noticeable. It’s still beautiful. I haven’t done anything to treat it or maintain it.

I don’t know how rare it is… but I think they don’t get a lot of them. I was very lucky that day it happened to be in the stockroom when I asked!

Such a stunning bag!! I see a slight variation in the color on the sides but doesn’t take anything away from its beauty! Would you mind sharing the price? I haven’t been able to find it on the price list.

Thanks! I can't remember exactly but I think it was around $22,000 USD pre tax. Lizard is a lot less than croc as far as exotics go.

My FSH SA tells me Ombré Lizard is rarer than Himalayas simply because these were not in collection for more than a decade while Himas have been in constant production. It is also much more rare than Black and some of the recent colours we are seeing now. I have been told that Lizard is definitely coming back and in more colours in the future.
I have a Kelly wallet from original release which is more than 12 years old and my C18 Mirror was from Nov 23. I surprised myself and my DH at accepting the second bag but my SA was persuasive. 🫢😊
I would just assume it's going to yellow anyhow even with care, spa definitely cannot restore the originally white areas and if my bags do not yellow much, I'll just take it as an added bonus.
Price of my Constance was €17100 before tax refund.
HTH!

Thank you!! I’ve come to the conclusion that I much prefer lizard to croc. It’s easier to maintain and not as delicate as croc. Now, need to let my SA know 😂

Hi All!

Question for you! Is ombré lizard in Constance really that rare? I know B and K is. I feel there has been a recent influx of lizard availability in US stores? What are your thoughts?

Price point is higher so I know that reduces number of potential clients willing to purchase similar to croc.

Also owners of ombré desert lizard- what’s your experience of it turning more yellow? Or has it maintained its coloring compared to the original ombré lizard that seems to turn yellow over time.

I have ombre lizard (not a C) and yes it yellows. It always yellows and there is nothing you can do about it. If you have a warm, or slightly warm wardrobe (probably in-keeping with your personal colouring) you'll be OK and the bag will stay tonal. The issue is if someone has a cool colouring and a wardrobe to match then the bag will look off- or even 'dirty' against the other colours.

Found one that yellowed on fashionphile for your consideration. I think this is very common look for the ombre lizard

Thank you! Knowing that this yellowing is common it definitely makes me reconsider wanting this. It’s still beautiful but I think it would bother me.
