Hi! Not sure if a topic like this has been posted already. Thought it would be interesting to discuss whether you tend to buy/admire more of the limited editions bags and like having a one of a kind/rare bag/s or you like more the popular choice where the style is easily recognizable by you and every one else?

Say which, or if both and why :D

Frankly, I gravitate towards neither. Given a choice, I always like to buy something under the radar. For limited editions, it really depends on how much I like a collection, and how much the company is looking to charge for these. If the price point+style is not what I'm looking for, I skip. There are too many wonderful choices nowadays, for me to shell out vast amount of money just because something is "rare", or a supposed must-have.

Honestly, many popular bags look "wtf?" to me. And "limited edition" seems very subjective--especially given reissued lines & frequent sales/outlets.
So, I buy what I like & can use. Sometimes name brands, sometimes relative unknowns.
I prefer unusual to stamped-out looks, but own both.

Some of my bag choices seem to become more "popular" given time.
And, with more time, they cycle towards being unpopular.
But, I carry them, still.
Eventually, they'll seem limited editions, when people move towards other fashions & forget.
But they endure.
;)

Function over form for me whether the bag is popular or rare. I buy bags to use so details like strap drop length, weight, ease of access, easy to clean, size dimensions always come first. Even though I have a couple of rare bags, I would never buy a bag just for its uniqueness. I'm not against trendy bags but I often find myself wondering why people buy such uncomfortable (at least to me) bags.

Most of the time, the popular/limited editions are not functional or the design elements are too far out there for daily use. Besides, it's all about the hunt and then disappointment once you realize that it's not functional for your lifestyle.
I stick to what I like and what's function.

All of the above? I love miniatures, neon, and square totes. Sometimes those are LE, sometimes they're trendy, sometimes they're classic, and sometimes they're under the radar. As long as it fits my needs and I like it, I wear it.

Nowadays I know what's practical for me and what I will actually use so I buy carefully. That having been said I am sometimes lured in by a LE bag, usually on this site, but by the time I think I might buy one it's long since sold out thankfully :lolots:
