I have a F&F discount and I'm deciding how best to use it. I'm really only buying 1941 at this point, although I have other bags in my collection:

Prince Street Satchel - Lt Gold/Navy
Ace Satchel - Silver/Black
Soft Swagger - Dark Gunmetal/Navy
Mercer Satchel - Light Gold/Fog
Swagger Frame Satchel - Light Gold/Chalk
Primrose Satchel - Silver/Turquoise
Turnlock Carryall 29 - Light Gold/Forest
Brooklyn Carryall 34 - Gunmetal/Surplus
Western Whipstitch Rogue - Black Copper/Prussian Black
Rogue - Old Brass/Chalk
Dinky 24 - Black Copper/Butterscotch
Dinky 24 - Dark Gunmetal/Black
Rogue 36 - Black Copper/1941 Saddle
Dinky - (Customized Tea Rose NYC) Black Copper/Black

I only want to get one other Rogue - I have three already. I was planning to do a MTO Red, but there are three bags I have had my eyes on for months that I could get at 40% off:

Steel Blue Rogue (I love this one)
Black Rogue 25 with Tea Roses
Chalk Dinky with Tea Roses

I don't want to buy all three. If I buy the Steel Blue Rogue, I might also get the Chalk Dinky. I've fallen in love with Dinky's after a recent trip, but I do prefer the 24 size. I don't have a small summer purse; I think the Chalk Tea Rose would be great for dinners out, travelling in the summer, etc.

If I buy the Rogue 25, I will only get that bag. I don't want two bags with Tea Roses; one is enough. I bought and returned the Rogue 25 in Chalk this summer, because I wanted the full-size. I've now gotten used to downsizing (and have downsized my wallet which helps), so I think I'd be ok with a 25 now. Most of my other bags are pretty big, so it would be a niche size for me.

So....

1) Steel Blue Rogue, possibly with Chalk Tea Rose Dinky
OR
2) Black Tea Rose Rogue 25

What do you think would fit better with what I have? I don't mind foregoing the custom Rogue; I'm sure a red purse that I adore will come along sooner or later.

Thanks!

I vote for the Steel Blue Rogue! I ordered that one too! I am a sucker for blues and I wanted this one from the get go. Its a great year round blue color that goes with so much, so I had to add it to my collection. In my personal opinion, I am not a tea rose fan, I feel like they are too trendy and will be not as popular in a few years, but a classic Rogue will be in style for a long time.

That is a tough one- I can see justification for either decision but it seems you are leaning toward choice #1 so that is the one I endorse for you. I will likely buy the black tea rose myself at some point- it is such a beautiful classic with the polished brass hardware. GL with what ever you decide.

Thank you. I'm actually leaning towards the Rogue 25. The Steel Blue Rogue is beautiful, but I have a blue Rogue already (the Western Whipstitch). The Rogue 25 is smaller, so it feels a bit different.

I need to decide if I think the Tea Rose Rogue is formal enough to carry to work. I have a Black Ace Satchel and two black Dinky's. I don't think I need another black casual bag, no matter how beautiful.

I really love the Brass hardware too.

I just bought the Black Tea Rose Rogue 25. I do love the Steel Blue Rogue 30, but I don't need to own every colour that I'm attracted to. I have two in that size and style; that's enough.
I'm picking it up on Tuesday - can't wait! :yahoo:

My Rogue collection is now complete.

Hope you enjoy your bag - it's a beauty.

I love that bag- really, there were no bad choices here. May it bring you many years of happiness!
I am going to buy it after the new year when I get my rewards points at Saks (hopefully they will stock it again) or at Nordies. I did a bit of damage at LV (my early BD gift) so I need to behave!

Thank you! I hadn't really expected to ever own it because I didn't think it would come on sale and wasn't up for paying full price for it.
Hope you can get yours for a good price too!

UGH! I need to embrace the concept that I don’t need to own every bag I love. It’s a work in progress

It was 65% off in the Uk sale was tempted but I think for me for work it would be a no no way too much going on for such a small bag less is more

I don't usually go for embellished bags myself, but I prefer a more 'busy' small bag to a large one. I like the tea rose Dinky's as well.

Now that I've said that, Coach will release a ginormous blinged out bag and I'll fall in love with it. :giggle:

I might just have bought the Chalk Tea Rose Dinky as well. Sort of by accident, like. I just casually inquired whether the promo was still active, and apparently it is. And you know, it would also look cute with the strap from my Chalk Rogue for a different look. And I have the Cherry small wallet.

What could I do?!

I haven't decided yet whether I'll keep it myself or put it aside for my daughter's upcoming 16th birthday. Hm...maybe I'll just let her borrow it occasionally. :giggle:

If anyone senses I'm so much as considering anything in the upcoming SAS, please smack me upside the head. I'm done for the year, and have now picked my two faves that weren't going to be on sale anyway (at least I don't think so).

In my own defense, I would like to point out that this Dinky was free.

Original price of Rogue 25: $1055 Canadian. Discount: $422.00
Original price of Dinky: $700 Canadian. Discounted price: $420.00

They actually paid me $2 to take the Dinky off their hands. See? The defense rests.

Also, the total cost of both bags is less than the MTO Red Rogue 31 I had budgeted for and planned to order as my year-end incentive/Christmas/Birthday treat to myself.

Classes on Master Rationalization Skills commence on Black Friday.

I consider myself a Black Belt in spending rationalization and I can only bow humbly to your prolific skills. I stand in both awe and 100% agreement with all points :coolio:
