• Slouchy black holes: I’ve tried the large pouch method to try to make these work and still can’t stand them.
• Very small bags: I’ve only owned one and keep it because its adorable (navy Gucci Dionysus) but I tend not to reach for it because it’s a pain to get my things in and out.
• Short shoulder strap bags. I can’t stand resting my arm on a bag or trying to crane my arm to reach into one hiding in my armpit. Ugh!
• Noisy chains and charms. I love chain straps but I’ve had two bags that for some reason were so noisy, I sounded like the grim reaper rattling the death chains wherever I went. It was downright embarrassing.

I agree about chains and noisy bags. I have a beautiful chain bag that I have to unravel, which drives me crazy. I had a coach bag years ago that squeaked it drove me insane.:wtf:

Bags that are on sale, especially in some seasonal color, that eventually I won’t be using once I get bored with it or it doesn’t work with my wardrobe…

Bags that are heavy… I actually don’t ever buy these as I know they’ll be pain in the a**… the only one I ever got was Maxmara Whitney bag in a medium size, that I was lucky to exchange with my mom, who had a smaller version… she doesn’t mind the medium one being heavier as usually she’s driving by car all the time, while I use public transportation and can’t bare extra weight on my shoulders…

Bags that are trendy/popular that don’t speak to me… getting a bag just because everyone is raving about it is a bad idea, as I need to know whether the style works for me and fits my lifestyle, and not just buy because of a hype or some fantasy life…

I bought a med Mulberry Cara thinking it’d be a forever bag. But after a day out with it holding just a few things and a small bottle of water it had to go. It was like carrying a lead brick. Hopeless.
Flap bags. I like the look, but hate faffing with a big flap, and only have a couple left.

Oh, totally understand, some bags are made to be admired from a far…. Were you able to return it?

For me it was paying attention to the ads for preloved. Sometimes people's cameras don't take very good pics and what looks like a black bag might arrive as brown.... Which is what happened... LOL

I had a truly gorgeous Givenchy GV3 bucket bag that had a chain on it that constantly rattled. If not for that I would likely still have it, but oy, that rattling!

Stiff bags. I love the Moynat Rejane profile but I always get irked when I try to open/close one - the flap is extremely stiff and the lock is pointy so it always feels a tad dangerous.

Almost-but-not-quite-black bags. They always end up sitting in the closet because I picked a black or pop color instead.

Bags with too many pockets. My ideal is 0-3 pockets b/c I always use an organizer that I move from bag to bag.

Super floppy bags. Too much work to get into and my organizer tips over.
