Scarf Mischief I've just found this thread and have spent Sunday afternoon enjoying every last booklet , many thanks for compiling this fabulous thread.
Since I had a 20yr gap between buying my first scarves and now when I'm interested and buying again , I'm able to fill in all those years !

^
Thanks palmbeachpink, it would be great if we could fill in the missing booklets. I will have to go back and look to see which ones we still need, I have forgotten...

Awesome frou frou, I'm glad you like this thread!

I have no idea why it takes me so long to find this thread? Amazing pic and LOVE it. THanks Scarfmischief1!
But sad to notice that models fr the 80s, much healthyier and 'normal' compared to those feature nowadays....if these models get any thinner, they could practically hang those scarf on the skeleton for effect:nono:

Freeze I was thinking the same . Also the models looked like normal young women , rather than fifteen year old Stepford wives !
Not too keen on those 80s fashions ,though the scarf tying ideas were brilliant.
H scarves were very popular in London in the 80s , but the unimaginative styling ideas made us all look frumpy .
It was amazing to see one of my old scarves bought then , Sextants . Sold it recently as it never worked fpr me.

Thanks Scarfmischief for scanning all these booklets. After scrolling through all the pics, I finally found my first H scarf which I bought in Spring 2007.

The effort you had made 2 years ago still serves a great service to us "newbies"
A BIG Thank You...

I know this thread recently got bumped (luckily) but Scarfmischief, I have to tip my hat to you! :flowers:

You're such a gem for compiling this thread, full of wonderful pictures and notes. Thank you for your enormous efforts, they're much appreciated!

Yikes - there are so many scarves in there that should be reissued ( Vent Portant II anybody?)- and does anybody know why Hermes stopped doing so much enamel jewellery - I lusted over those brooches in the 80s!

I had the same thought. I particularly love the enamel pill boxes and never see them come up on ebay, never.

^ thanks guys, I'm glad you like this thread!

I have a few more rare booklets and will upload them soon.

Many thanks, a great resource indeed. I think this should go in the ref section or at the very least be sticky so we can always find it.

Actually some of the 80s fashions I still yearn for - but especially the well groomed bon ton vibe! My booklets are from the same era but I'm going to go rummaging to see if I have anything to contribute.

Valmont - I have no need for a pill box but the enamel ones were just so cute and gorgeous and you could kid yourself that they were useful too. I wasn't aware of them at the time living in an Hermes-less desert but if I found one anywhere I would be quite content.
