evidently, there are a number of them showing "available" in the computer system yet when I call, I am told they are "presold"....it isn't really fair to tie these up if there is no intention of purchasing them
Why do you think the people they're promised to won't buy them? That's how I got one of mine. The SA knew they were coming in, and asked if I wanted her to save one for me.
because someone here told me they are holding onto a few waiting for decisions to be made by friends- this isn't really fair if they ultimately are released and snatched up by someone who just happens to be lucky at the right time. I do not have the time to keep "chasing" them and bugging my SA who is not at that particular boutique. It looks like most of the brown/naturel went to Texas.
this is not a nice accusation by you, tc and it just shows how ignorance and incomplete facts can create an ASSumption.
You are gravely incorrect by assuming I have some on hold at boutiques....the boutiques don't even work that way.....especially for in-demand items....if they aren't purchased post haste, the SA moves on to the next person on the list.
These stoles are not very easy to come by.....I own three c/ws personally. Two people went waaaay out of their way for me in France and Rome and did me a great favor to get me two of mine! (If you care to search the site, you can find my thank you threads) The third I bought via BGs last fall after waiting ON A LIST.
I also purchased 2 other c/w PERSONALLY - from friends, not the boutique, FOR my friends, and they are also in my home right now, waiting for my friends' right of first refusal. One happens to be in the hospital...my friends can take their time making decisions about stoles, of all things, for goodness sakes!
I am not in contact with any boutique regarding the Leoleila, quite the contrary - I already have mine! I have gone out of my way to point people in the direction of the boutiques to be of help, when other have left "just PM me" notes here....
The notes I leave about Charlotte are done by request from a SM as a favor because information keeps getting put out there that is incorrect.
If you want one, I suggest you do what we all have done with this crazy stole
get on a list with an SA and she will call you when one comes in (or call a fine friend overseas).....they are trickling in to the US inconsistently....
I disagree. If my store is willing to hold a couple for me until I find out if a friend would like one, it should be of no concern to anyone else. Honestly, it's just good business practice for them. I'm a good customer, and what makes me happy, makes them happy......much more so than the chance someone random will walk in looking for said object.
Houston had the opportunity to order more at the recent podium in France, as did other boutiques. I have already mentioned this fact. That is why they are trickling in.
Best not to attack and assume until you have all the facts. And then - it's not a good time to attack either

But this is the second person who has gone ape $h!t mad over this stole to me....enough already!!

If my friends decide they don't want the two I have in my possesion (at my home, not the boutique), then I will sell them to someone else. Who is nice.
