Leather Vs. Signature~ which do you prefer?

I'm definatley more of a leather gal. I'm currently in the process of selling all of my sig or patchwork bags. I just see way too many other people walking around with sig bags, both real and fake. I like the idea that I have NEVER seen anyone else carry a leather Ali in real life, it makes it seem a bit more unique.

This is so true! I am awed at how many sig pieces you see around. And unfortunately it does seem to devalue the sig style somehow. Though I still love the sig look it just has been way over-marketed.

I prefer the leather bags. I do have a couple signature ones, but they are the mini C's. Except for my two green optic ladybug bags, those are bigger C's.

For me, it depends on the style. Most of the time, I prefer leather but remember that jade cotton Carly last summer, that was my absolute fav!!

In the beginning I would only get bags that screamed COACH all over them...but now they have such fabulous leather bags and it seams like the more and more sig's I get the more and more they are looking alike so I say...Leather is better!

My first two Coach bags were signature (07 Scribble and Brown Sig Carly). I still have them (they are two of my favs) but since then it's been all leather!!! I've eyed a few other sig bags, but keep being drawn back to the leather!!

I prefer leather. The exception to this is the blue signature scarf print. For some reason I really fell in love with it.

Leather all the way!!! The only signature I own is the one in my avatar. I own some of the coated Tattersall, but I don't love it....so leather is my favorite.

I've always prefered leather. The only time I ever liked signature was the non-regular signature stuff like optic lurex or scarf print but I have a few signature bags just cause I like that color.

When I first started with Coach I found myself buying all signature. And then I noticed that everyone around me that did have a Coach bag, real or fake, was signature.
What's the reason for this?
Do they feel they need a bag that screams Coach so they can justify paying for it?
Or the ones that carry the fakes feel better because they 'think' it's a good fake and someone will think they are carrying Coach?

I dunno, I'm sure some genuinely prefer signature, but I have really steered away from it. I was looking at my bags yesterday and realized that out of 30 or so bags I only have 4 or so signature bags left. I like that with whatever I'm carrying, as long as it's leather, I don't have to worry about someone else having the same bag.

Yay for Coach leather!

Definitely leather. I do have one mini-sig bag....and I'm not saying I'd never buy signature. But there are so many fake siggy bags around here, it is definitely a turn off for me. Mostly they are fake Carlys, so I might go for a siggy bag in some other style.

Leather for sure!

I do like the signature patterns that are a little different, like the minisig, multiprint, tonal, optic. Don't look as much like the glaring C's on the other sig patterns.

You are soooo right, Pursedove! It is mostly fake sig Carlys around, at least the ones I spot. Not sure why , are they the easiest to fake???
