Agree - they are fantastic. They shortened my WOC strap recently and I love how I’m getting so much more wear out of the bag now. They also fixed my metallic reissue where the color came off and made it look as good as new. I’m considering sending them my mini rectangular, which is a little too long on me too!

Hi all! About to ship one of my chanel bags to Leather Surgeons. For the insurance, did you declare the amount you paid or current value of the the item? I bought my item at a lower price than what it's worth now. If my purse is lost, would UPS pay out only the amount I paid for the item or current value? Thank you!

I did what I paid for but I don’t see why you can’t do what the present market value is - either way your package hopefully won’t get lost lol

Need some advice. I recently sent my bag in for their spa services, which had undergone some recoloring. There is a little bit uncovered on the left corner edge that is bugging me a little bit. I sent them a picture and they responded with trying to strike a balance, less is more, keeping things as natural as possible. When I first got the bag, it was heavily faded, so I knew when I asked to restore it, it would be a brighter color, it was labeled as nude when I bought it but seems to lean heavily pink after the recoloring. Even the certificate I received from LS labeled the bag as pink, vs nude from the retailer I purchased it from. They said they could recolor that part of the edge, but I would have to pay for the shipping. Would you think it’s worth it? Here’s a before pic in indoor ambient light and the after pic in indoor sunlight:

This bag is definitely a shade of pink now. This would honestly make me so upset. Why would they go from nude to pink? And the part they left out... It looked perfectly fine in your before photo and looks dark now almost like color transfer. I am really not buying their explanation in this situation. I think you should speak to management there. They completely changed the color. I'm not even sure what you can do at the point but they should offer to help correct it for you.

Thanks for your input, I really appreciate being able to bounce my thoughts around! I thought I was going crazy about it being too pink. I did reach back out to them and they said they believe they matched the bag back to the original color. The bag was pretty faded on the outside, and the inside flap was a bit darker, possibly indicating the original color, but I just wonder where they find the original colors on bags, cause it did turn out more pink than I anticipated. I wish I took pics of the inside!

He also said color names are subjective and that pink and nude would be both reasonable ways to describe it. I just told him I was concerned if I ever sold the bag, the certificate from them (and not to say it’s the end all be all for determining authenticity) would say pink and not nude. I could foresee someone claiming the bag was never made in pink thus questioning its authenticity.

This was my first experience with them and had heard such great things, but I can’t help but feel a little disappointed. Color matching aside, the additional touch up would be more out of my pocket since they asked me to cover the shipping. Not sure if my expectations were just crazy out of line. Maybe this is just an expensive lesson learned.

I cant recommend these guys enough. Sent 2 bags out to get the chain shortened and the turnaround time was like less than 2 weeks and the bags look awesome ! So happy right now. They also throw in a cert of authenticity, which is handy if I ever want to sell in the future.
Do you happen to have pics of your bag that was shortened? I'm considering doing this to a mini flap with top handle.. TIA!
