I given up and brought the short handle medium neo on the sale. Size seems to be the same, will see if it is better.

If you put the strap on the shortest setting, it can be used as a shoulder strap. The length is great for me at least (5 feet 5).

I actually purchased a Neo Longhandle LP in the large size, but ended up returning it because the leather on one handle was much thicker and stiffer than the other.

To my surprise I also found that the straps dug into my shoulder, but figured that they would soften over time. The process can probably be helped along by bending/flexing the handles repeatedly when not wearing the bag.

Difference in leather thickness on different bags of the same model might explain why some find it uncomfortable and others don't.

I'm considering giving it another try. Unfortunately I have to order from the website, so I can't pick out the bag myself.
