I'm curious to know what the handle drop is on your bag(s) if you don't mind measuring. I love my black/white but I just feel it's too short for my shoulder and I don't like the long strap on me. Someone said they noticed a difference in the store on another color and I noticed a difference on the colorblock. I'm wondering if it just happens to be each bag, like can I ask to look at a different bag, or is it colors, or styles?

From the bottom of the rolled handle to the top of the bag, I'm getting 4.5" on my b/w edgepaint.

I don't have one, yet, however, Macy's got a huge shipment that they were putting out last night. I tried on quite a few - the drop was very inconsistent between colors. Interestingly, I tried the black/edge paint - and it had one of the deeper drops. I'd definitely try another one - I know you love the edge paint - I do too! It adds the 'wow' factor - classic and timeless!

Thank you. I had a feeling and was almost afraid because now it may be a pain in the butt to find one that fits. LOL

I felt like the ecru/seamist I tried on in store had a bigger drop than the white/sunglow I received. However, that whole bag felt softer and even the bottom of the bag looked like it was soft/droopy. Maybe all the SAs had been trying it on in the back or something and softened it up ;). The white/sunglow jams up into my armpit so tight it is very uncomfortable. Drop from underside of handle to top of bag measures 4" on white/sunglow

Thank you! This is interesting....

My colorblock has a drop of 4.5". The b/w has a drop of 4.5" as well but I think that because of the leather it has more of a slouch/softness that makes it feel a bit more roomy/comfortable:smile1:

Which one has more slouch?

The b/w has a bit more slouch as the leather is a bit softer. I think the color block leather is a bit stiffer but I'm sure that with use it will get a bit softer and feel more comfortable to carry on the shoulder. Don't get me wrong, the colorblock leather is nice and soft but compared to the solid color or edgepaint it feels more structured (at least now that is brand new) :smile1:

It's so weird because I tried the colorblock in the store and it fit on my shoulder nicely, but I agree that the b/w seems softer. That's why I was surprised to see that they had the same drop and the pebbled leather on this bag felt shorter.

I guess then that it changes from bag to bag as I have the opposite experience than you since the b/w feels a bit more comfortable on the shoulder, weird. I love Preston and I am planning to get the solid woven in navy but, while I like to carry them as satchels, it is always nice to have the choice to carry them on the shoulder :flowers:
