I could never date a man shorter than myself - well, aside from the logistics that there are very few men who are shorter than 5'3"! Height is the number one physically attractive characteristic in a man for me. My dh is 6'8", so I can wear any and all heels and never approach his height.

There is nothing wrong with a woman dating a man shorter than herself; love knows no boundaries of size. It might just be social conditioning, but I do think it looks uncomfortable, though. But that is probably just because I would be uncomfortable being taller than dh, not because anyone else is!

My and SO are exactly the same, so when I wear heals, I'm taller, but if I wear ballet flats and he wears shoes I'm a little shorter. I love when I'm shorter, and I can rest my head on his shoulder. I guess this means I get to wear flats to my wedding lol.

My SO and I are the same height.

I like wearing heels and being taller than him. I actually like the look of a woman being taller than her man... very different and not something we're used to, I guess that's why it bothers some people. :)

same here, i like the fact that i'm taller than my SO but it did not look so good when i recently put on a large amount of weight( last semester in pharmacy school really stressed me out). taller and bigger is not so cute looking IMO, just wrong

I'm 5'3 and my ex was 6'1, so i was able to wear pretty much any shoe i wanted. lol. Now, my bf is about 5'6, so i feel kind of limited to the size heel i can wear. He loves it when i wear heels but i feel really uncomfortable. I become taller and i'm so not used to that! lol. I guess i have to get used to it. I'm in love with a shorty too! lol.

I'm 5'8" and my bf's 6'1" so when I do wear heels (which is like twice a year) I'm almost the same height as him.

I personally think it's cute when the woman's taller then her man. I dated someone that was 5'5" and it was kinda nice for me not having to reach up to kiss my BF.

Congrats on pharmacy school!

I totally agree. To really rock the taller look, you have to be thin. It's almost a trophy wife / arm candy kind of vibe. How trashy. LOL.

I'm 5 ft and my DH is 5 ft 7ish and I've never had that problem:nuts:.
I come from a family of McNuggets or sprouts if you like, no jolly green giants in my family. My Dad is only 5 ft 4 my mom, bro and sis are all 5 ft 1ish.:true:

Sorry. When I dress up and wear heels, I am (almost or rarely taller) than DF. And I'm a skinny model as well. And everyone calls me his trophy wife. In fact, I even have a screen name with those two words in them! And in no way am I trashy.

Well - I am six feet tall and have been at least 5'10" ever since 7th grade. My pride would never let me consider anyone remotely shorter than me but I have to confess that notion severly limited my available pool of men. As it turned out my DH is 6'3" and sometimes I am even taller than him when I put on 4" heels. I always wanted to have the sensation of having the man able to overpower me so I was attracted to big hunky guys. But who isn't????
