I think I'm having a hard time because I don't know if I'm 100% on the Love ring. I showed it to my husband tonight and his first reaction was "really?" (in surprise - he doesn't have a filter at times - LOL). He didn't think it looked like me. I think he may have a point. I think it's a timeless, classic piece but maybe I'm into it for the wrong reasons (it's popularity for one). I LIKE it enough but do I LOVE it? - I don't know.
I do know that I LOVE other pieces, no doubt - the Elsa Peretti Bean Necklace, the Filigree Heart Necklace in Yellow Gold, etc. - so maybe I'm better off getting the ones I know I'm 100% on instead of saving for this piece when I have my doubts.
Everyone's feedback has been so helpful though. It's made me to get to the core of this and I just don't think I love it enough.

Eek thanks :D hopefully I'll have mine in about 3 months' time! Also the DBTY looks good! My gran's going to give me the money to get the CBTY tanzanite bracelet while I'm in NY (it's my birthday while I'm there!), can't wait :D think the DBTYs are lovely and dainty.

I know EXACTLY what u mean! There is a Hearts on Fire necklace I'm currently mulling over. While it's pretty and I like it, I don't know if I love it 100%. I can save for it, no problem, but at the same time, there are smaller items that I love more. So it's a bit of a dilemma whether or not to save for it.

As for tips on saving up for a dream piece, when faced with a distraction/temptation, I usually ask myself: do I want my dream piece more or this cheaper item in front of me? Then I remind myself how the money for the cheaper item can be put towards the dream item. That usually works for me.

I guess you can say that I failed - I ordered the Tiffany and Co. Mini Filigree Heart Necklace in Yellow Gold. I love this piece. I actually had this in the medium size and in silver and ended up returning it. I think this size is better suited to me - the mini and the 16" chain and also like that I'm getting it in gold. I think this was my best choice because I'm not 100% sold on that Love ring.

Think I may fail too, have fallen in love with the Dior Oui bracelet and think I'd rather have that than the love ring! Not 100% sure though, haven't seen either in real life!:roflmfao:
