Hi!

I was able to get my hands on the Pochette Metis (kept my eye on the website) and picked it up in store today. Love it but noticed the label says "Louis Vuitton" Paris. Not the usual "Louis Vuitton" -Made in USA, France etc
In case I ever resell I wanted to verify the label was different than what I expected. I called customer service and first rep said label is fine but you can return if you want for another one. I then called the store and was transferred to customer service again, different rep who said if the label doesn't say where it is made then it is made in the USA and to keep receipt for authenticity.
Has anyone checked their label on any new bags and noticed this? Thank you for any input you might have!

Louis Vuitton has stopped saying "made in USA" a long time ago. They now say "Louis Vuitton" Paris - and it is implied it is made in the USA if the country is not indicated.

My Pochette Metis is made in USA and has a brown tag sewn on the interior lining of the bag that says "Made In USA of imported materials"

Mine doesn’t have the tag that says “made in the USA of imported materials” but the date code indicates it was made in Texas. Is this something I should be worried about?

I purchased one from LV’s US website, paid $2600+. There’s no “made in…” tag inside , the only tag is the leather one. I couldn’t get hold of the customer service by phone, debating whether I need to return it or not. Regardless it’s a lovely bag and I probably wouldn’t sell it anyways. Does anyone have the similar ‘no tag’ bag purchased in a store recently?

Yes that is normal. Made in USA bags either have an extra tag that say "Made in USA with imported materials" or something like that, or some do not (I noticed this in the newer made bags).
Yours may or may not have a date code either as LV has switched to microchips for bags made on/after March.

Thanks for the reply. I watched some YouTube videos and downloaded the “NFC tools”, scanned my bag and did find a NFC, however it’s not something legible, just a very long serial number, unlike the typical date code.
Maybe the sales in a store would use a different NFC app.
