Lab grown Diamonds - Thoughts?

Hi ladies. 1st post here. What would you say to a person rude enough to ask "Is that a real diamond or is it one of those lab created fakes?" None of your freakin' business is my initial response. But what would be a more polite response?
It will never cease to amaze me at the audacity of some people. My first instinct would be to totally ignore them, but that if you don't respond then they automatically think it's "fake." I would say, "Gosh, it was a gift and I would never be so rude as to ask the person giving it to me if it was real or a fake. I just said thank you because I think it is beautiful and was a thoughtful gift!" Hopefully that would put them on notice that their question was rude and also is an answer that they will get no satisfaction from.

The only difference between the two is how they were grown. BOTH are real. A beautiful diamond is a beautiful diamond regardless of how it was grown. It honestly baffles me people would feel the need to specifically ask if it is lab or mined.

Turn it around on them. I’ve been asked this (not as rudely put tho) and say with pride - “It’s lab. Everything I wear is either lab created or vintage as I don’t support environmentally damaging mining.”
