There's just something really perverse about that . . . with so many people in this world living below the poverty line, it seems really wrong to be so wasteful just because you can. It's almost cruel, really. The money spent on champagne for her feet (so absurd because it serves no purpose whatsoever!) could have really helped some poor child in this world get a decent meal.

Coldplaylover, thanks for reposting the pics. ;) Whats up with Teddyandmoo pics??

At many fancy spas they do that as well as use crushed pearls and diamonds in their scrubs.

Can I just have the pearls and diamonds whole instead of the scrub??:p

I've had that champagne (not the exact one she's washing her feet in  ) and its not that great tasting. Not that it matters I mean hell, she's having her feet washed in it.

Did anybody else laugh at the fact that she's drinking a glass in the second pic? I'm not saying it's from where her feet were, but the way the pictures are layed out it looks like that. lol

I really think that is a rather hypocritical thing to say...many meals could be purchased with the $$$ that we PFers spend on LV, Balenciaga, Hermes, etcetera. Someone making $6 an hour at Burger King could judge us as wasteful. She has more money than we do, so we deem her wasteful? I don't think that is fair.

(newbie here :shame: )I think the problem is that she flaunts it so brashly, like she constantly trying to prove that she has money. She comes off as low class w/ money and no taste. Sure, there are lots of women out there who can afford a champagne pedi, they just don't turn it into a circus. They quietly slip in to the salon, get their luxurious treatments, and quietly slip out again.

Those women don't have clothing/cosmetics companies that are dependent on them "living the life". Baby Phat IS Kimora, and she's sold lots of stuff whilst selling this "low class" image. Someone is buying it. Literally and figuratively.

Kimora is a lady who doesn't care what you think of her. Whether you think she's brashy, too indulgent, show-off or whatever, she's loving it. It's more important to be the "REAL" you!!! Go Kimora!!!

Yes, her character sometimes might put people off but hey, she's a very straightfoward person. She's not scared to say her mind and she have to. Fashion industry is a *****y world. The moment you become a little bit succesful, other people wants to CRUSH YOU!!!

Shoppegirl-What you're saying is quite ironic. There's nothing wrong affording the luxuries that you want to & at the same time, donate people money. It's not Kimora alone. Oprah, Jennifer Aniston, Celine Dion, Nicole Kidman, Jon Bon Jovi & many else. The celebs mentioned, they all have beautiful mansions, sports cars, owns designer clothings, expensive diamonds, chauffers & etc. These people have tons of money so why not once in a while indulge in something that they like? It's their money & they can do anything they want with it! And these people MAY OR MAY NOT DONATE. It's just a matter whether they want to tell the whole world or just keep a low profile. They have EXCESS money to do that even after indulging themselves. Not including their future earnings!!!

LucreziaCA-I totally agree with you.;) ;)

That's her character!!! She's not ashamed to be like that though she knows she's going to be criticised by many. ;) ;) Who cares??:suspiciou

Regarding about those women, they don't have the media taking photos of them doing that. Maybe it just happens that the media was there & Kimora was invited by the salon to experience washing her leg with champagne.

We shouldnt be so jugdgemental.
Think about how pissed it makes us when people snarl at us for spending so much $$$ on bags.
Its the same thing.

I feel like my point is being missed here . . . it is one thing to spend thousands of dollars on something that serves a functional purpose (i.e. a handbag that you will actually use), but totally another thing to use money on something that really serves no purpose (really, what does bathing your feet in champagne do?? It sure doesn't leave you any cleaner; in fact, you'd probably have to have another washing with real water afterwards.) It's like if someone buys a Balenciaga bag and then immediately tosses it in the garbage. Or ordering food and then just throwing it away. Doing that makes no sense and would undoubtedly seem like a waste to many people -- rich or poor. So how can buying champagne and then dumping it out not seem wasteful?
