I can't say I've ever shopped for diamonds that size... what would her earrings cost, assuming decent color/cut/clarity?

A single, well cut 4ct G VS1 stone would be around 150K retail give or take a few thousand, and a E is almost 175K, give or take a few thousand for the same size and clarity. So she couldve really just gotten them at Blue Nile or wherever, retail.

But I just lol'd at the Kelso burn comment. My reply would be something Red would say. That show was so awesome.

That's on the high end IMO, if she had a excellent stone that was F/G VS2 it's closer to $100-125k each, BEFORE negotiating. JMO!
It would be crazy to me if someone paid more than that considering if cut is equal no one will be able to see a difference in an F, G or H or a VS1 or VS2, etc. . .

He probably isnt paying for much. The retail may have been 175K, but she gets most things free or at a huge discount. She and her sisters also sell all that stuff for "charity" on their ebay store. That family is a walking add for something

same! I rather save my designer pieces for a signature design element. Maybe if I have unlimited funds I would but for now I save for my pieces....so I stick with whatever gets me the best quality and largest diamonds
