You can say they'll be 18 they can do whatever they want, their parents can't control them blabla but it's called respect. Respecting your parents enough to do the right thing and not lie, deceive and go behind their backs and do inappropriate things. Just because everyone else their age is doing the same things, that doesn't make it right. Posting provocative pictures, dressing provocatively, acting way beyond your years are all things these KIDS shouldn't be doing and it's up to the parents to raise their children in the right direction. Unfortunately, parents have just become lazy and allow kids to do whatever they want, there's a lack of boundaries.

Wearing short shorts means you're being disrespectful to your parents? Oh ok. People act like these girls are out of control and going down a dark path. I don't see it. They just seem like regular teenage girls experimenting and trying to find themselves. I get that some people don't agree with their wardrobe but at the end of the day, who cares? There are worst things in the world. As far we as know, they aren't into drugs or anything dangerous, they both keep busy with their modelling and fashion and they seem like nice enough girls. If the worst thing i have to worry about with my daughter is what she's wearing, i'll be very happy.

Being on the beach in a bikini, totally appropriate, taking those types of pictures and broadcasting them to the world, nope!

None of my friends' teenage daughters post the kind of provocative pictures on social media or knowingly hang out with 21-year olds who brag about smoking marijuana on twitter and Instagram. :shrugs:
Because that kind of behavior isn't regular teenage behavior.

I know that teenagers will try to do whatever they want whenever they want in the quest of growing up. That's one the oldest truths in the books that stems as far back since humans have been civilized. However I think the issue at hand with the ways these girls dress, project themselves on social media, who they hang out with indicates that the parents arent doing anything to protect them or help them grow up in a safer fashion. I think a lot of the moms here on tpf who take issues with these pics and make the comments feel that the Bruce and kris arent protecting their girls from the bad things that can happen to young people these days. I am not a mom yet but I understand the sentiment that as a parent you need to protect your child so that when they are adults and independent they can protect themselves. I mean you tell your kids to wear seatbelts in the car, helmets on a bike, wash your hands so you don't get sick, etc. Those are all things that parents tell their kids to keep them safe.

I have my own business and I hire teenage employees to work there and a lot of them dress the way these girls do, I think it's the generation that they're in and were not used to it. We used to be more conservative but times have change and people let their kids be more expressive in the way they dress and act.

My employees are far from bad, They work really hard and do extremely well in school. It's probably also the hormones in our food that's making them develop into young woman at such a young age. I'm 27 and my 16-19 year old employees look around my age! It's shocking.

Sure it is. Been there done that, see it now. These things just weren't documented before as widely on social media.

I think it's definitely an overstatement to say that "this is just how teens are these days" because it's definitely not. I certainly do not dress like that or post provocative photos on instagram/facebook/twitter and the majority of my friends don't either. Mainly because our parents would NEVER in a million years allow it. So it's not entirely "teens will be teens" behavior.

Well, obviously every teenager isn't doing it but it's happening and it's becoming common. I saw it in HS and in some ways was a participant in that type of behavior. I agree with whoever said IG has allowed teenagers to put their behavior on display so it might seem like some new trend when it's not. I don't think I was as young as Kylie, though.....my 'wild times' didn't start until 16, and even though I photographed some of it, I had enough sense not to put it on Facebook, lol.
