Oh may I suggest..., you can go to the crafts store (or fabric store) and get some straps material (or any strap you can find at home..like a robe strap?) and tight it into different lengths to try and see which size fits you the best.

So many great suggestions. Thank You! I went to Kay99's blog and her strap length is perfect. She said it was either 65 or 70 c so about 25.5 to 27.5. That was really helpful.

I just looked into Mautto as catsinthebag and tonkamamma suggested and I could have one made easily. They even send leather samples of the colors. I spoke with them and they were very accommodating. They are VERY reasonably priced. The person I talked to said they make straps for Kellys and suggested the type of clasp and strap width i.e. 3/4 ". Great resource! So while the Bal strap works, I think I could get an even better match and have it be a tad longer AND have better clasps, all at little cost. The reason I am not favoring a canvas strap with this bag is because there is already so much canvas in the bag itself. Thanks for your help!

That's a smart compromise- get a better-matched leather strap, but at a way-better price. I forgot that most of your bag is canvas. The only reason I prefer the canvas straps is because it stays on the shoulder without sliding as much, but that's not as much of an issue if you are keeping its length shorter. I wonder if Mautto can do an adjustable strap? I should look into it myself, as Kelly straps from Hermes can't be ordered as adjustable. Good luck and can't wait to see your new strap :)!

maxxout, out of curiousity I measured the straps on both my vintage Kellys and they are 35 inches long (leather plus the metal clasps). HTH!

Please help! I have a kelly 35 black box sellier and I want to buy the new straps that are out. Should I buy the short one so I wear over shoulder or crossbody. what is the length for crossbody? I’m 5’5.
