Can you kindly share a pic of your k25 in swift anemone??? how has it been with the leather? I am very bad at babying my bags so I’m afraid of the leather.

Resident anemone freak here  I have an aversion to color generally, but for some reason purples and greens work well with my neutral wardrobe. I have etain an barenia faubourg in my collection along with more anemone bags than I like to admit:graucho: I missed anemone a few years ago and totally regretted it. I vote that you should go with anemone for the color, size, and different leather. As others have said, don’t worry about matching it and just wear it when it feels good. I have a K25 swift anemone and it just flat out makes me smile.
Ultimately you really can’t go wrong. Just envision if you bring home anemone are you just going to be thinking of the gold, or vise versa? Pick the one that you can enjoy and love without worrying that you missed out.

Of course! I love swift. I am similar to you, I am extremely careful with my bags and have had no issue with swift. It’s a beautiful soft squishy leather that takes color beautifully. No issue with scratches so far, but again, Im fairly careful.
I second others, if the bag is epsom I would pass. I am not a huge epsom fan. In swift it’s stunning.
I know what you are talking about with the Chanel bags. Some of those purples almost got me also! For some reason anemone works as a neutral for me. I like it best with blacks and whites, but also works very well with tans.
Happy to answer any anemone questions or get you modeling shots. Just let me know.

Whatever you do, don’t pick anemone because it is harder to get. Won’t matter if all you can think about is the gold afterward. Those aren’t all that easy to come by either, none of them are. Get dressed today and try to imagine if you had both, which one would you take with you out today. If the anemone would push you away, it’s not worth it no matter how rare.

People have provided some great advice! I’d just like to add though, if you mean that you will have only two Kellys ever and that’s it (based on your first comment), maybe the actual choice here is neither. Maybe the perfect second Kelly to round out your collection is something like a K25 in black (don’t know if that is actually the one but throwing out an example). It’s hard to stay focused on an end goal when there are beautiful bags in front of you, but if you are very sure that you want a very minimal collection, maybe the second dream bag isn’t any of these two (Anemone a color you won’t be able to use; Gold K28 closer to the Etain K28 you already own especially if same leather and hardware) but something else you should wait for.

Good luck deciding!

ETA: but I think it’s very difficult to stop at only 2 Kellys so...:graucho::graucho::graucho:

I think many posters have made great points that third option could be to pass for both and do nothing for now. If you go ahead, I would personally go for gold if yo like the leather. I don’t like gold in epsom but it’s beautiful in other leathers. Etain is a good neutral and gold is a warm neutral so you will get a mileage out of both. Anemone is very pretty but you likely won’t use it as much. I turned down a gold bag to get a pop of colour bag I love but I am still lusting after gold because it’s so easy to match to everything and trying to be patiently waiting forever it to come. Gold is also very easy to match with other H products (belts, shoes, scarves) in case that is important to you. Some people can rock anemone like a neutral but if you are truly a lover of neutrals accept it’s a pop of colour bag and not an everyday bag.

So gorgeous! Mod shots please! Would love to see how you style it. Do you always wear it dresses up? Thank you!

I would go with anemone since it goes well with so many colors (blacks, grays, browns) at at the same time is a bag that can dress you up or down, from casual to formal.
Gold, in my opinion, it’s not neutral and at the same time, just like barenia, it’s a more casual color.

As the observer and not the one wearing the bag, my wife can match her Anemone with anything she wears because she sometimes just wants to wear it for the great radiant pop of color. Jeans to dresses, it doesn’t matter. Neutrals have their place, but you have the etain when you want a neutral and could have the anemone whenever you want it for fun. Sort of like a mullet. Business in the front, party in the back.

To me- anemone is a neutral :P- I have a k25 sellier in epsom and a Roulis evercolor (of course SLG & accessories as well) - I use both bags often. It’s the most beautiful purple but you can’t go wrong either!! Good luck!

Sorry to be OT, but I have serious bag envy

OP, can you go see the bags when they arrive? That’s what I would do. If one makes your heart skip a beat, get it! If not, pass and something better for you will show!

I would go for the anemone precisely because you already have a neutral that works with your wardrobe and thus covered your need to blend the bag with the outfit when you have to. Now the anemone will be a fun pop color that you can utilize and change your (classic but perhaps slightly too-safe in comparison) image when the occasion calls for it. I think it is a waste to have two neutrals that essentially compete with one another when you try to put together an outfit. Why not get something that serves a different purpose and thus complements it.

I own an evercolor anemone mini roulis (I know, not quite a kelly but that’s beside the point I’m trying to make) and I wear it with most outfits in different colors as I don’t own anything purple. I find anemone to go quite well with:
- blue, pink, red (composition),
- green (opposit, complementary),
- purple (family),
- yellow (popular royalty combination, especially w GHW),
- black, white, gray, certain beige (neutral)
So really I have only had problem with brown!
