Hi Kelly lovers,

hope you are all doing well. I visited my SA yesterday and she hinted that new inventory is coming and asked me to give her my next wishlist.

I just started my H journey and got really lucky to receive my dream bag-K 28 in Etain Togo phw. It goes very well with my casual wardrobe of greys, whites/beiges, blacks, and some purple and blue. I absolutely love it! But...Purple/anemone is also my other favorite color. However, I’ve learned expensive lessons from buying new purple chanel bags that while I adore bright colored bags I almost never use them. It doesn’t suit my everyday low key lifestyle and I’m not fashionable enough to actively incorporate into day to day living. I also don’t foresee myself collecting more H bags down the road. So...if I could only have two Kellys, what would you recommend?

My SA hinted that there could be:

1. K25 in sellier /swift / anemone: my favorite H color but not necessarily the most practical bag for my lifestyle

2. Gold K28 not too far down the road: another loved neutral and will be very useful and practical

what do you think? My head says the practical and neutral one is the right choice but the anemone choice is amazing and hard to come by. If I could only buy one more quota Bag what should I choose? Thank you!!!

Congrats! Hopefully you get the next bag soon. Are you sure the k25 Sellier bag is swift? It would be a retourne if it’s swift.
Of your choices, I would get a k25 since you already have a k28. Anemone is also versatile and would fit nicely with the neutral wardrobe that you wear.
In my opinion, hermes is easier to wear than chanel in the same color because of the leather and style. Hermes bags are more versatile that it can be very casual or formal.
If you only intend on having 2 kellys, I would say pick the pop of color for your 2nd one. GL! :heart:

It seems to me that it is very clear to you that you will use the gold more than the anemone. You already know that the 28 size works for you. So I would go for that. Get perhaps ghw and you cover all the bases Kelly wise. Then you can get a non quota bag in anemone or another purple. Perhaps a clutch or a small crossbody that you will find easier to wear.

TPF can be very enabling and put the focus on the next bag we don't have yet. When I purchase a special item I try shifting the focus away from further purchases and focusing on what I have new in my closet. I'd say if you just got your dream bag wear it, love it, cherish it now and decide in a couple of months if you want to add another one. It's not about money, it's about making your dream bag feel special. Maybe that also helps you to determine what size or color you want to go for next.

Agree here... Hermes does the most gorgeous colors but they need to "work in your wardrobe" & YOU
have to feel good about wearing them.
And since you comment that bright colors can be expensive lessons & that you are not drawn to them,
I think you have answered your own dilemma
Classic colors are timeless, elegant, stylish & just seem to be the right fit.
If you are attracted to anemone/purple, perhaps a shawl or a SLG

Echoing the general sentiment here: some H colors are amazing, doesn’t mean whatever they come in will suit your wardrobe. I am borderline obsessed with bleu paon, you wouldn’t catch me with a Birkin in it.

You already have a Kelly so doesn’t look like you’re in a big hurry. Would you consider asking your SA if a darker purple like raisin is an option? That’s color-without-color almost. Otherwise, I’d highly recommend sticking with the gold if you’re like me and hate seeing unused bags in your closet. It’s not that you lose money - that anemone Kelly will keep it’s value easily - but I love *using* my stuff, you know? Sounds like you had the same issue with the purple Chanel bags...

I say go for the anemone. It’s a different size and a pop of color compared to your etain kelly. Owning it will allow you to actually see if it fits in your wardrobe/lifestyle and if not, you can always rehome it and know for sure what works for you to replace it with. Good luck deciding.

If I were you I would get anemone! Why? Because you already have a neutral in your collection. I like to have variety in my collection. If I already have a neutral that works with everything, why would I have the need for another? I would probably reach for the neutral that already works instead of another. Etain is such a cool toned bag. Do you think gold being so warm will work with your wardrobe? For me, etain would work but gold would not. Besides that, I think anemone in k25 just sounds so cute! I also like that it’s a different size than the one you already have. I love neutrals but sometimes I crave a pop of color especially for special occasions. But anyways, get what you have always wanted and what makes you happy. Doesn’t seem like you can go wrong either way. Please share with us your decision! :lol:

Resident anemone freak here :nuts: I have an aversion to color generally, but for some reason purples and greens work well with my neutral wardrobe. I have etain an barenia faubourg in my collection along with more anemone bags than I like to admit:graucho: I missed anemone a few years ago and totally regretted it. I vote that you should go with anemone for the color, size, and different leather. As others have said, don’t worry about matching it and just wear it when it feels good. I have a K25 swift anemone and it just flat out makes me smile.
Ultimately you really can’t go wrong. Just envision if you bring home anemone are you just going to be thinking of the gold, or vise versa? Pick the one that you can enjoy and love without worrying that you missed out.

I have a Gold K28 (togo) and it's such a great, wearable, versatile bag! I would only take the Anemone if you are sure you will wear the pop of color. It's unlikely (not impossible but VERY unlikely) to be Swift sellier so most likely:
-It's Epsom sellier, personally I wouldn't take Epsom - also you need to like the sellier style (which IMO is beautiful and versatile in a K25). If you like Epsom, this will be a beautiful bag,. I have a K25 sellier in Raisin that I love.
- It's Swift retourné, this will be a lovely small and fairly soft bag. I think it will be very wearable.

The anemone 25 is harder to find, and really is a gorgeous color, but you really must be sure you will use this color. I LOVE H colors but my collection has edited to mainly neutrals because these bags are a little pricey ;) and I like to be able to use them often.
