Please let us know how this bag goes in daily use, as I know my store has ordered a few and I'm interested.

Have to admit when I went to see this I wasn't sure if it would work for me but I LOVE it- not too heavy and surprisingly easy to incorporate into my wardrobe and lifestyle (was concerned about the stripes)
It's soft swift on the sides so almost slouchy but the canvas keeps the bags shape.
It's a 35 size.
The pockets are lined in a wool herringbone - a nice surprise
There is a removable bottom flat liner that is 1/2 leather and 1/2 hard material.
The shoulder strap is shorter and 1/2 leather-
The green color is Vert Anglais - in swift skin it is darker than in Togo - so it's is a dark green.
IMO the bag has a sporty yet professional look that can go business or casual - and for travel.
Works with linen, khaki, dark green, white or even black .Lots of workmanship in this Lakis-- which is reflected in the price.
Very special bag!

Just bummed they didn't produce it in 40 since 35 is too small for me.
I hope they decide to bring it in the future again in 40

May I ask you three questions:
1. the swift part is vert anglais or vert fonce? I was expecting that the swift is in vert fonce. If it is vert anglais, it would be extra wonderful as vert fonce is darker and closer to black under certain lighting....
2. the pockets lining - what is wool herringbone? May I ask you to share a picture of the lining? FYI, the pocket-lining for my vintage canvas/box lakis is also the same canvas as the pocket...no additional surprise......whereas the pocket-lining for my full leather lakis were lined in swift.
3. how much does it cost in the USA? Many resellers are selling it at around USD24000.....I am very eager to get it but would need to factor in the premium charged by those resellers....thanks thanks.
have you tried on a lakis 35? I have lakis 40. when i try on a lakis 35, it works as a shoulder carry bag....it looks a bit small too if you carry it as a handbag....maybe it looks better if you bat-wing it. besides, i doubt hermes will do the same bag in size 40 as the toile riga is a one-season only creature....A very special bag indeed! So happy you were able to get and Enjoy it like you are.

Yes. I had the same experience. They did not approve my request for Lakis SO....I wanted to do a bicolor lakis with my local store but Paris rejected because it is not in the bi-color collection. However, same as bagidiotic, they approved my PO for a single color one in late 2012 and I received the bag in summer 2014. I heard that no more lakis was offered after 2012 until recently for this re-issue.
Your store is very lucky to be able to order a few.....I was told by the local stores....they were not allowed to order this bag as a podium item....they received the bag as a push-order....each store received one only.Dear TT,

Agreed-- maybe call me crazy but I'm not sure I love the Toile Riga (stripes) for myself but would have to see in person to know for sure. And no, I haven't unfortunately. Just K 40.
And a K 28 for play
however I am a Full-Bodied Man, not overly tall, and though The batwing is definitely the way I'd wear it, I am very partial to the 40 on me (sadly.) I wish and would love to finally have a K Lakis.

Let me answer some of your questions --
My receipt says vert Anglais Ecru but I'm not sure if that's just describing the striped toile? The green in swift is dark but not black looking. The inside of the front pockets are a dark grey woolen herringbone - which is nice not only because it's unique but because it keeps the bag from being too heavy (I'll take photos of pocket insides later)
I've also heard that each boutique could only order one and not that many boutiques ordered the one they were allowed
The 35 size does not seem that big -
because the sides are soft and it's retourne
With the shoulder strap the bag sits fairly high up under your arm -you can see that in the video

Thanks much TT! Yes, this bag is very rare.....given lakis is not easy to make.....perhaps the hours craftsman spend on a lakis can be spent on making 1.5-2 Kellys....so H cannot accept too many orders for this Lakis from a production management perspective?
