Great idea for a thread. K28 is a perfect size, although I DO also love a 32!
Here are my 2- a Peau Porc 28 Sellier from 1992 and a Lakis 28, noir Swift. It's interesting that even though you expect them to be completely different because of leather/Sellier vs Retourne, different HDW, they also have very different proportions, because of the "regular" Kelly vs the Lakis shape.
Adore them both!

Taken in Paris last May shortly after I picked it up at Sèvres. It has since joined me in many adventures mostly due to the hands free option. TBH, I’m still a Birkin girl at heart, but my K28 has found a place in my life!
Both are such beautiful bags! @nymeria is the K28 Lakis so amazingly functional with all the pockets? 😍. I love my Kelly’s but the whole opening/closing process is a little bit fussy…lol. The Lakis IS both a beautiful and very functional bag. I use the 2 smaller pockets in front to fit a calvi with cards etc., bastia or card case, and the back zippered larger one for my phone ( usually- I do change things up as needed). So I don't need to open and close as often if out and about.
The wider 70 strap is comfortable and works for me, although a longer cross body one is great, too.

That’s great to know! I’m hoping to get a K28 retourne someday as well but didn’t know if clemence felt heavier than Togo. Yours looks brand new, when did you get it?
I got it from the boutique in 2009. It retained its structure well.
It’s beautiful! I have a K25 but would love to get a K28 for traveling with one of the longer canvas crossbody straps!
Nice to see your Kelly 28s! I also love this size, I have a Sellier Epsom and Retourne Clemence. I never thought I would say that, but I prefer my Retourne! Although I love the structured style of the Sellier (this bag wins in terms of chic look), the Retourne is sooo much easier to use. Sling it over the shoulder and off you go, no fuss, closing easily, relaxed look, fits everything you need plus that little extra - very much day to day!
