Kelly 25 or Kelly 28? Which is best for 5’6+ ?

K28 is a great day to night option and yes, I do take both 25 cm and 28 out to dinners and I think they look just fine. I do not take them to more formal events like weddings etc. I am only 5'2 and carry both sizes with relative ease. based on just your height, I think, 28 cm would look perfect on you. Truly, there isn't a big difference between the two, so buy what you love!
If this is your first K I would say go for the 28, it's a perfect bag as you will easily be able to use it from day to night. I'm 5'6 and I love the look of both equally but prefer using the 28. And yes, I bring my K28 out to nice brunches and dinners in the city.
The K28 will offer diversity in your wardrobe & will compliment your height proportionately, JMO
Sellier appears larger than retourné but holds less. You can carry either, of course, but I would always choose 28 over 25 for the most versatile bag, especially if you are not petite.
I’m 5’8 and prefer the 25 for dinner, 28 feels slightly too large. I also think the 25 holds everything I need for day or night. Of course you need both but I would start with the 25!

Neither is a dinner bag. I am 174cm (5’8”) and H size 38. People can’t tell if I am carrying a K25 vs K28 in photos. At the end of the day, it really depends on how much you need to carry for that day.
I am 5’6” medium build and prefer the 28 for me (and in fact I often choose a 32 for everyday use or travel). I think the 28 is the best-proportioned in the Kelly family, in either sellier or retourné. I never take any of my Kellys to dinner though (although I used to use my sellier at professional evening functions); I prefer my Kelly Cut or another clutch for restaurants etc.

Wife is 5’10 and thinks the 28 fits her best and has removed the 25 from her wishlist. For dinners though, she tends to wear her KTG or 18cm Constance.
Oh we are soo similiar in proportions!! Do you ever feel the K28 looks like a corporate bag or does it still feel elegant to you? I thought perhaps K28 would look the same on us as say a K25 on petite people
Adding, about dinners: neither size of Kelly is formal, but if you just mean a nice night out at a restaurant, friends or date night, personally I think a 28 is fine. The 25 lets you get away with a bit more, esp in sellier, because it looks "dressy".
I own both sizes and love both sizes, but I am very petite and find that a 28 sellier appears just a little bit large/boxy on me if I am not wearing heels. If I were taller it'd be perfect

FWIW I think unless you are very tall both sizes will work, certainly a K25 will be fine on someone 5'7". But I do think the 28 will be a bit more balanced. If I could only have one size I'm pretty sure it would be 28.

Also, you can also change the straps for a more carefree look when you feel like it.

I suppose my only concern with K25 is it would look toylike on me (for example the B25 really looks toylike on me)… but my concern with K28 is it could be too corporate/briefcase like.
