Hi all! Just out of curiosity, do you all keep the receipts and tags of every bag you purchase safe and sound? I’ve been insanely lazy and careless with my handbags in this regard, so far as to say I’ve even misplaced some bags dustcovers! I love my bags dearly but just find it so difficult with my hectic lifestyle to keep all relevant materials that come with the bags, safe and handy. Tell me I’m not the only one!

As I will not give stores my personal info., for customer profiles, keep receipts for brand service & insurance purposes.
Also make copies, as original receipt ink fades. And note serial #s, etc.
All in bank vault.

Otherwise, no.
I do not resell. Feel no need to cling to tags, boxes, etc.
I do keep dustbags, inside handbags.
But, I probably own far fewer bags than most here--by choice.;)

I keep dustbags, tags, and booklets/cards, etc. I think they help with resale, and I often re-home bags and wallets. I have a one in, one out policy now.
I don't keep receipts because I would not send them to a new owner.

I like to think I’m semi organised on this...

As I buy bags, I put the receipt, all tags, box ribbons, wrapping etc in an envelope and write the name of the bag and year purchased on the front. Then I simply chuck the envelope in an LV box with all the other envelopes and forget about them. It’s quick and easy and keeps everything together.
Then my bags just sleep in their dust bags!

Even if I buy a bag from TJMaxx, I keep the receipt and tags. They go straight into the inside zipper pocket. I keep the dust bag and the stuffing as well as that’s how I store them. I even had to tell one salesperson not to take the stuffing out. It was weird. I’d never had that happen.

I used to hold on to the tags and receipts and then with time, have somehow misplaced them all a few dust covers aswell! LV has some of my receipts online so for some of my bags there’s that, but the rest I’ve been insanely careless of. I don’t have a large collection either, I just buy what Im interested in and like and am not into reselling at all. I try and aim for classics when I buy! But you never know I guess.

I keep everything except for shopping bags and boxes. When I “rehome” items, I’ll send the bag/SLG with the dustbag and tags. I’ll include the copy of the receipt with personal information blacked out.

One weird habit of mine is that I still hang on to receipts of items, even if I don’t have them anymore. I don’t know why but to me they’re just nice reminders of what I used to have.:girlsigh:

what about photos of bags you've sold? I usually keep them for a while then delete them

I always keep my bags stuffed with tissue paper and keep them in their dustbags. I keep the tag, care instruction card, receipt, even the paper bag! I like to keep everything because they could increase the bag’s resell value in the future. I don’t resell my bags that often but sometimes I do, so I always keep everything that I got when I purchased them.
