I think it's great you are considering the necklace. It's bold without being over-the-top. I think the contrast of the dark to gold metal against your skin works really well and you have a slender neck that shows it off very nicely.

I can also see the necklace working well for a transition to casual -- tank top with jeans.

I totally had an impulse buy at Bergdorf and scored two pieces of "bold" jewelry yesterday while I randomly popped into the store on a Monday morning. Two SAs worked for me and convinced me that I totally need them. I work in a conservative work environment and usually wear very discreet jewelries -- pearl/diamond studs, dbty diamond necklace, etc. I wonder if they are too "bold" for me and can i really pull them off... without further ado, here are the pics!

1st is a rhodium plated sterling silver and 18K yellow gold chain necklace, sorry but i forgot the designer name. 2nd is a sterling silver bangle with white sapphire and black enamel by MCL Matthew Campbell Larenza. Ladies, are they keepers?

I want to copy you on that necklace! I don't live anywhere near a bergdorf
though

Another vote for the necklace. The bracelet is lovely, but seems heavy for your small wrist.

Neither are worth my taste. And the whole "they worked to convince you you needed them" part bugs me. That right there would make me return them. I don't like high pressure and manipulation to make a commission.
