I totally had an impulse buy at Bergdorf and scored two pieces of "bold" jewelry yesterday while I randomly popped into the store on a Monday morning. Two SAs worked for me and convinced me that I totally need them. I work in a conservative work environment and usually wear very discreet jewelries -- pearl/diamond studs, dbty diamond necklace, etc. I wonder if they are too "bold" for me and can i really pull them off... without further ado, here are the pics!

1st is a rhodium plated sterling silver and 18K yellow gold chain necklace, sorry but i forgot the designer name. 2nd is a sterling silver bangle with white sapphire and black enamel by MCL Matthew Campbell Larenza. Ladies, are they keepers?

I think they're both lovely. I think the necklace would be fine for work. It's a chunkier look, but it's not ostentatious in my opinion. The bangle seems a bit more glitzy, so it might not be the optimal choice for work if you prefer low key jewelry. It would nice for going out though. I would definitely keep the necklace.

I like them both and I'd certainly wear them! My only hesitation about the bangle is that it seems a little big for you; does it fall off?

P.S.--If you find out the name of the necklace designer please let us know. I want to track it down. :)

I was wondering the name myself. For some reason, I thought maybe Gurhan, but Gurhan uses 24k for the gold portions of their pieces.

I might go back in a few days so will def try to figure out the necklace designer and report back! I think the necklace is growing on me slowly, when the SA put on my neck my first impression is it's too edgy and bold for my usual taste but then it kinda brings out my dark hair color in a good way and i don't have any necklace in the darker tone... hope you know what i mean...

For the bangle i see the point that it might be too much glitz for day work...I have tiny wrist but it doesn't fall off cuz it's hinged. Thanks for all the feedback keep them coming! I guess I'll give them a few more days to think about.

I like the necklace very much. It is different without being OTT, and I definitely think it is appropriate for work. The bangle I could go either way on. I don't dislike it, but I don't like it quite as much as the necklace.

Doesn't the necklace have any markings on it? Usually, the designer's hallmark should be on it somewhere.

Maybe it's my eyes but i looked at every link and only found on the clasp link a teeny tiny circle with some engravings in it. I'm guessing it says 925 but I could be wrong.

Wow surprised how many people like the necklace, I think I'm leaning toward keeping it now.
