Small bags would never work for me, I don't think they are practical at all. They are trendy right now but I'm not sure why.
I used to love a big bag and never thought I would like smaller ones - but I’m converted.
I realized I was carrying a lot of things I just didn’t need. Plus smaller bags look better on my frame and I like the sleeker look. So, it’s win win.

That being said the bag HAS to be able to carry my essentials which includes sunglasses, wallet, iphone, etc. I don’t understand bags that require people to carry their “stuff” in their hands, etc.

Such an interesting topic and happens to most of us. Who hasn’t bought clothes for imaginary lifestyle scenarios really? I think there are bags for different occasions and the various bags we want are a sign of what Lifestyle we want. I realised I was always looking for basket and straw bags, because I needed a holiday...

So true. I can fill a small closet with all the accumulated stuff from my imaginary life. And since my real life is so routine, it's the reason why I've been drawn to glam outfits and party shoes in the past.

I remember being out shopping with my sons. I saw a really nice Chloé bag in Saks, and said, “This is cute. I wouldn’t wear it or buy it, but it’s cute.” They told me that what I said didn’t make sense. I told them that it made perfect sense. Just because you like something doesn’t mean that you have to buy it. The bag was really small but extremely heavy. It just wouldn’t work for me.

I guess that this has come with age and many mistakes. I can look (and dream) but not buy. Luckily, I have amazing shopping where I live. Anything that I see, 99% of the time, I can find it and see/try it in person.
