Keep Classic Flap even though I never use it or sell?

I would try wearing or playing with it and keep it visible somewhere around the house for at least a month. Maybe wearing it, seeing it and feeling it might help fall back in love with it. Having it visible may help remind you if you really want to keep it or rehome it. I do this with some of my bags that I am on the fence with keeping or letting go.

Great feedback from everyone above! Love the idea of using it consistently and then reassessing how you feel about it. I used my jumbo about a week ago and have since then left it sitting out so I can look at it every day and consider how I feel about keeping it v. letting it go. Two important things to think about when deciding whether to sell your CF: Do you NEED the money? Do you MISS the money? While I haven't used my jumbo much since I've owned it in the past 9 years, and it calculates out to a rather costly price per wear, I don't need or miss the money thus far.

I sold some of my classic flaps, years ago when they were half the price.. I regret it now in hindsight seeing how hard they are to come by and how much the price has increased.. black with SHW is a classic combo - unless you really need the funds, I would hold onto it

I can say that tastes can change.
I used to think that my ML flap was too big for my frame but when time flies, I find it more appropriate as a bag and not an accessory like all those trendy mini bags nowadays.

For the HW, while many jump on the gold HW as it provides the classic look. I prefer silver as it looks younger and easier for me to associate with my wardrobe.

So my advice is you should hold on to it a bit longer and see what is your feeling towards this bag in the future.
It's never too late to resell a Chanel CF

I agree with everyone so far in terms of you don't seem as though you completely want to part with it yet, and wanted to add my own story:

In 2020 I bought a beautiful blue 20a WOC from my boutique. Fell in love, thought about it for a week, went back to buy it. Loved it, admired it.... and never used it. Not even once! The only bag I've ever bought that I've never used. I thought about selling it last year, but kept hesitating. I still loved just having it and admiring it and didn't  want to sell it, even though part of me felt I "should" because I wasn't using it. In the end, I decided to keep it for the time being.

Fast forward to a couple weeks ago, something in me just went, "you know what? I think it's time. I feel ready." And so I took the steps to put it up for consignment. It was so much easier to do this time! No hesitation or remorse; I felt ready to sell and didn't feel bad parting ways with it. In fact I felt happy to move it out of my collection and into someone else's.

All this to say, you don't seem to be "ready" yet to sell. If you don't need the money, even if you don't use the bag, I'd hold off :) when or if you do feel like it's truly time, you'll know.

Unless you need the money, I would keep it. Let it continue to increase in value. Just make sure to keep it pristine and safe. There are rumors of price increases more often than not at this point.

I had the original re-issue and large caviar flap among other chanel bags. I regret selling them because the prices were miniscule compare to today's prices. They are classics, won't go out of style, and will only go up in value (in case that matters). Replacement prices will always make you sad. Keep.

I'm actually having a similar dilemma! I have been off TPF for a few months (commenting anyway, I may have had the slightest of looks when no one was looking!!) on ban island until last week and have been contemplating a lot in isolation. I've really fallen out of love with my classic flaps (not my reissues - I love those babies so much!), but I'm just finding my classic flaps, particularly those with gold rather than champagne hardware, too dressy for my lifestyle and too conspicuous, which makes me feel uncomfortable particularly when seeing work colleagues. I'm seriously debating whether to get rid of a few, but I don't know if this feeling is going to last forever, so I'm going to wait a little longer! I am with the crowd and vote keep until you are sure!

I agree with you that the gold hardware seems a little bit dressy but the light GHW on other colour shades are beautiful. I will say don't sell yet.

Everyone is different when it comes to expensive bags they don’t use but I would keep it. You style (or trends if you follow them) may/will change and you may want to wear it in the future. With the prices the way they’ve been, even on the resale market, you wouldn’t want to regret having sold it. I have a vintage tall medium and don’t wear it often, ever really, but won’t sell it because it’s tripled+ in value since I got it almost 10 years ago and for that alone I think it’s good to hold onto. I also tend to get attached to certain bags even if I don’t use them and something like a vintage is hard to sell haha.
