I think it was the other way around --- Katy loved to party and Russell is a reformed addict who wanted to stay away from the party scene.

I heard this also. She seems like she would be pretty wild so I can understand him not wanting to be around that, or wanting her to surround herself with people/things that were against his recovery.

I think so too. Maybe a combo of him not being faithful as well.

Some of her friends are known to big partiers, drug dealers etc.
