So, I be the first to admit that I picked up the armadillo bag this weekend. Let me first say that I am not a major risk-taker. I drive a Toyota Camry. I wear sunscreen everyday. You get the idea.
However, something about this little bag made me want to take a risk on it. Maybe its because I am usually so practical. Maybe its because I first saw it in the store, rather than online, Maybe its because I already have one vintage wicker purse and lots of outfits that go with it. Or, most likely, its because I had a few bloomingdale's gift cards from an award program at work.
It's my opinion that you should use a gift card to buy something you wouldn't normally. Some of my colleagues cash them in for Amazon credit and buy their diapers and toilet paper. I considered using them on a few smaller things (makeup, coin purse maybe). But I saw this purse, thought on it, asked a few friends (they were mainly skeptical), asked my husband (he was surprisingly supportive) and finally made the plunge.
I think he is cuter in real life, and though I won't carry the bag everyday, seeing it on my shelf will make me smile more than the perfect [insert designer here] bag. I'm going to try it out with a few outfits and take photos for you guys...I think I may need more posts before I can put photos (I'm new to this forum) but I am looking forward to sharing with you and joining the purse forum
