^I am only surmising and guessing that maybe English isn't her first language but it came across to me like she was saying that as gorgeous as Kate is (and especially known for her role in the Underworld films) that she prefers her as her long haired self in films...

ETA: meaning that if you had watched her earlier films then she had her long hair in those roles, the 'Underworld' films she has short hair

Kate Beckinsale and her husband, Len Wiseman, make an entrance at the 2012 Vanity Fair Oscar Party held at Sunset Tower on Sunday (February 26) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 38-year-old Underworld: Awakening actress rocked a nude long sleeve Atelier Versace gown with bronze and black patterned detailing accented in tulle and side cut outs. Kate accessorized with Chopard yellow diamond stud earrings and a Stark clutch.
