I  Kanye West. He's very talented & outspoken. I LOVED the Bush moment. lol. I really respect him because he says what many (not all) of us think but are afraid to say. Yes, he's cocky and sometimes arrogant, but honestly I feel he has a reason to be.

Anywho, I LOVE THAT BAG!!!!!!! Me like what me sees!!! I sooo want one!!!!!!!:wtf::drool:

It just goes to show you that money does not buy you class. It just makes you a classless person, with nice stuff.
I don't really follow Kanye much at all, so I can't comment on the other stuff, but ITA with this statement. Many wealthy people fall into this category!

As for the bag, it's not really my style and I think it looks ridiculous on him.

From Wikipedia:
Kanye West was born in Atlanta, Georgia, where he lived with both of his parents. When he was three years old (as mentioned in "Hey Mama") his parents divorced, and he and his mother moved to Chicago, Illinois. His father was Ray West, a former Black Panther who was one of the first black photojournalists at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and is now a Christian counselor. West's late mother, Dr. Donda West, was a Professor of English at Clark Atlanta University, and the Chair of the English Department at Chicago State University before retiring to serve as West's manager. He was raised in an upper-middle-class background, attending Polaris High School in suburban Oak Lawn, Illinois after living in Chicago.

For what it is worth, I had the privilege of meeting (through my job) Donda West, who was an absolutely lovely woman.

I am not here to argue with you. I think that Kanye is very talented; I just don’t like how he portrays his ‘former’ life in the media and the arrogant comments he makes. He has the opportunity to do a lot of good in the world.

Like the time Kanye went on stage after he lost Best Video award at the European MTV Music Awards and argued why he should have won…during the winners acceptance speech.

"The only people I would accept defeating me for album of the year would be System of a Down, and they didn't get nominated... I'm not trying to dis people, but there weren't that many really, really good albums." Kanye West insists he should have won Best Album at the 2006 Grammy Awards. He lost out to U2.
None of those songs represent Ghetto slanging, just hard times. I come from the same background. I grew up in an upper middle class neighborhood. My family struggled and barely made ends meet so that I could be raised in that environment. They didn't want me to be a "product of my environment". Therefore, I grew up geographically with the "well off" people, however, inside our house, I had to eat cereal with water, fried bologna sandwiches, shop at the thrift store, etc...... This is what he is referring to when he talks about hard times. His mother raised him alone on her professor salary. I say this to say, even though I grew up upper middle class, I am no stranger to hard times.

ETA: I don't this of this as an argument. Just a discussion on our different viewpoints:)

IMO, Kanye West is so arrogant. His music is about living in the streets and how hard life is for people. It is sad because the people who his targets and majority of the people who purchase his music live in poverty (or just above it) and can only dream of affording authentic LV goods, much less a custom made LV bag. Everytime this man opens his mouth it makes me fume. Humbleness eludes him.

ITA.

He is so conceited - and he takes everything for granted. I remember on MTV's diary, they showed him shopping at Ralph Lauren. He said "I used to pick out one or two things and put them on layaway and come later when I had the money. Now I just buy whatever I want!" and then proceeded to buy $800 jackets and tons of polos. He was SOO arrogant on that Diary show...You think he would be humble and remember when he used to struggle. But instead he was showing off how he could afford to basically buy out the store.
