He wrote fondly about her.
And she had the hot for him.

you probably know more about them than I do but from what I understand she is a very astute business woman so I'm not so sure she married him for love

Yep. He told her that he was thinking about transitioning.
I don’t know if she thought she had changed him but I think he had even started hormones at that point.

He had a fling with Kim even before he “officially” got with her. I can’t recall with whom she was at the time(Reggie?)but she was sleeping with Kanye at the same time.
At one point in his life, he was exclusively with men. But then he started to date women only publicly.
As far as being married with Kim, it was a win win for both of them.
It squashed the gay rumors, and Kim broke into the next level in fashion and more.
In addition, she gave him a family life that he craved at some level.
She knew exactly what she was getting into when she got with him.
Kris married a man who was about to transition, so the family is known for their accepting ways.

I think at the beginning he was obsessed with Kim and put her on a pedestal.
He wasn’t acting like this, or diagnosed bipolar until a bit into their marriage. She knew the wheels were falling off… and stayed with him too long (IMO)

A lot of mentally ill ppl and narcissists come on very strong in the beginning. Their expressions and emotions for you are intense and fiery. They "love bomb" you. It makes you feel that you've truly met "the one".

At the time, I'm sure Kim wanted him for his fame and him showing this powerful love for her, it was meant to be. Then as you described, the wheels started to fall off. But she stayed with him for too long.

Kim's opportunistic, cunning. But not very "intelligent".
