What a beautiful ring! I love that color combination too. Congratulations!!

If you still want a cameo ring, may I suggest the Amadeo and M&M Scognamiglio rings from HSN.com? I've purchased two of their cameo pendants and the quality is top notch. They're real cameos, carved from real shell, not fake resin or plastic. Their pieces are beautiful.

(Note: not all the rings shown are from those two lines, I just did a search for "cameo rings", but it will get you in the right direction)

Beautiful! BTW- I bet you can get a vintage cameo ring for a good price. Check your local antique shops.

Regarding the cameo ring. Might I suggest you check your local pawn shops. I went to one after reading all the great deals people were getting on a thread that was posted here. I was amazed at how cheap they were going for. It was selling for just the gold weight and they subtracted some out because of the cameo. Can you imagine? It could have been an true antique even made with real ivory. Anyway, it wouldn't hurt to check one out. Congratulations on your beautiful ring! I really like the intricate details and of course the sparkle ;)

Thanks :) I have been searching for antique ones because I would prefer a preloved ring. Buying new was kind of my last resort if I could find one that was a reasonable price. We don't have antique or pawn shops here so I can't really check that out locally. I do plan to check in Toronto Thursday though. My best bet would probably be to find one in Toronto since it's such a big area. I was told though that a lot of the older cameos don't survive because they end up cracking or chipping through the years. Apparently my mom had a set and she doesn't know what happened to it :(

I have a cameo necklace that I bought at value village for $1 and it's a beautiful wedgewood blue background colour in sterling silver. I think it's resin not sure though (but who cares for $1 LOL) At first I was trying to find a ring with the same background colouring, but I gave up on that because I don't think it really has to match...Thoughts??

The cut (shape) of the center stone is a modified "checkerboard" cushion cut....a cushion that has been faceted across the top. Blue topaz does have a great sparkle.

The filigree-ish scroll detailing on the gallery is definitely fitting for your vintage-ish vibe. :)

Thanks :) I forgot to ask what kind of cut it was...My dad was getting impatient with me because he wanted supper and I couldn't make up my mind if I really wanted the ring or if I wanted to hold out and put the money towards what I originally wanted. I ended up taking half an hour to decide...and then I decided I couldn't live without it and would really regret it if I left without it LOL

Very nice! I think I have this in a peridot center stone! Love this combo too! Enjoy!

NICE!! I wanted it in aquamarine (my birthstone) but they only had this one and a citrine one which is my mom's birthstone...I didn't care as much for the contrast between the yellow but the blue is beautiful and I think the green would be amazing too!
