Just lost my DBTY diamond bracelet :( :(

:( I think DBTY is more fragile than the standard tennis bracelet actually. No more dainty pieces for me.

Now that I reflect on it more, the bracelet was shortened by removing some links and soldering it back (I think). Perhaps the soldering (or however they put it back) broke apart and that was how the bracelet fell off my wrist. I have no idea when and where it fell.

That's so unfortunate! Hopefully, your bracelet will be found. I have a three stone sterling bracelet and it too fell off my wrist the first or second time I wore it. Luckily, I found it inside my purse right as it happened. I must have been reaching into the bag and the clasp somehow get tugged and opened. The bracelet was immediatly brought to the store to be inspected and they said that there was nothing unusual or wrong with the clasp. Even with that said, I just didn't feel safe to ever wear it again. The chain and clasp are just too fragile. It's been sitting in my drawer for 15 years now ;-(

Thanks everyone. It’s heartwarming to hear some of you found your bracelets.

I’ve retraced my steps and called some places too. Nothing found. Not at house either. Someone probably found it and kept it lol. Lucky them.

in retrospect, it’s just a material thing (thankfully no sentimental value).

Oh no so sorry to hear this! Hope you are still looking and find it. I have been considering a similar bracelet now I may think otherwise. Good luck!
Thanks. I hope this incident helps some others considering this piece. I would reconsider if I were you too. I think if I were to add more bracelets, I would only buy:

-Sturdy watch
-Bracelet that doesn’t come “undone” easily (ex. clasps, even the love bracelet with screw are no-gos for me). I’d consider something like JUC where there’s no clasp or screw.

I’ve been wearing my 18k rose gold Diamond by the yard bracelet with 5 diamonds. I suddenly looked down and realized it’s missing!!!!! Oh my gosh I don’t know what to do. I was out and about all day today. I don’t know if it came off last night, this morning, just now……. I looked around house but it’s nowhere to be found!!!

I’m home now at night but it might’ve come off outside. It’s been snug for awhile and I know it was snug last time. Maybe I got robbed and someone stealthily took it off my wrist today outside.

Omg, I kinda wanna only buy Hermes handbags now, no more jewelry. Too easily lost!

Did this happen to anyone?
Yes, I’ve lost a dbty bracelet as well. Had no idea when it had left my wrist but it’s sadly gone. I miss it but eventually replaced it with a nicer version.

I'm sorry to hear about your bracelet. As for shortening, as a jeweler, soldered connections are actually harder and sturdier than unsoldered casted metal, if it's done properly. I also think the clasp got caught on something.
But don't give up. It may turn up somewhere at your home or in the car. Keep searching. Try to think when was the last time you saw it on your hand, then try to search in every area you've been since. I found a ring once 1.5 years after I lost it, it was in a pocket of my jeans. On another occasion, my husband found my ring on the street, it slipped off my finger because it was cold, we went meticulously the same route in the neighborhood and he spotted it under the tree. Third time, a ring slipped off my finger in taxi on the way to the airport in Tokyo, we even turned back to the pick up spot to search. The driver then spotted the ring on the door, it was sitting vertically on plastic.

Years ago I lost a freshwater pearl bracelet (though not terribly expensive), and I couldn’t figure out where it could be. I even called the grocery store I was shopping at to see if it was in their lost and found (it wasn’t).

Eventually, it suddenly showed up under some sofa seat cushions. Sigh.

Also—if you have a pet, make sure they didn’t eat it (sounds very silly, but it has happened).
