Thank you Everybody for all the Congrats and Warm Wishes!! <3 <3 <3 The engagement story goes like this......Me and my boo met back in February on a cold winter night at the very end of my friends bday celebration which was taking place in Hoboken. I ended up driving him and his friend home and me and my best friend went inside to hang out. Me and my now fiance got to talking after both of our friends were too tired and too continue conversations with either of us. So I started to show him silly videos of a funny comedy group online and needless to say our humor clicked. We chatted for another hour or so and then me and my friend headed home. We had exchanged numbers and I decided to write him the next day and we texted from that point on. We had our first date that Sunday and pretty much have been inseperable ever since. Hes my better half. The ring choice came about because we were in the Short Hills Mall one day, walking by the Tiffanys store and we decided, well I decided that I wanted to stop in and browse the ring section in the front of the store, of course who wouldn't! I immediately went to the Tiffany Canary Section and there I saw 2 goregous Tiffany Soleste Rings. My fiance, boyfriend at the time, delicately put his hand on my back and guided me away from the Canary section that I was drooling over, right out the door and into the mall. He whipped his brow and hoped to make me forget the very pricey pure visual extasy that I had just devoured with my eyes. He knew I would obsess over those rings and boy did I! I decided it wouldn't hurt to call and see how much they retailed for, a girl deserves to know, right? :) Figuring they were way outside my real life budget, I was shocked when I heard they ranged from 12,000+. I figured, hmmmm rest of my life= me giving you children=me cooking for you=me cleaning for you=me mentally, emotionally and physically giving you my all= way more then $12,000, right? A girl could dream! So I dropped a hint to my boo and let him know I had done some research and the retail price was TaDa $12,000. He laughed and we continued with another conversation. Thinking my fantasy wouldn't ever be a reality, I put the Tiffany Canary Diamond on the back burner and focused on my true love of bags, shoes and real estate. Fast forward 7 months and my boo decided, that's it I am going to marry this crazy quirky woman I love that makes me a better person. He left his work one day on his lunch break, went into Tiffanys and told the lady he wanted to go big. She asked him if he had planned anything yet, and he said no once I get the ring it will all fall into place. 2 nights later I was finishing up at work and had one showing left and then we were going to go eat dinner. So he drove me to my showing and waited outside. Once I came out he drove me to the first place he brought me on our first date after we had dinner. Its a beautiful overlook of NYC in Hoboken and it is breath taking. He opened the door said he had to show me something and picked me up and carried me all the way to the overlook. The whole time he was walking to the overlook and carrying me, he was sobbing. Please take not my boo, rarely ever cries and has never sobbed in front of me ever, he is a tall 6"4 210 pound Man that loves sports and doesn't ever get over emotional about anything. So when he was crying I was completely shocked. He placed me down on the wooden bench by our overlook and got down on his two knees. He told me its always been me and that he had loved me since he first met me. He told me I'm his everything and he wants to be with me for the rest of his life. I was speechless and just kept telling him he was crazy. He pulled up his one knee and pulled out a tiny black box, in comparision to his large hands, and pulled out the Canary diamond we had seen at Tiffany's. I said of course I will marry you and he picked me up and we had a long embrace. It was the sweetest thing anyone has ever done ever in my whole life. A few days later we went to the Philly store to get my ring sized and he actually had the store bring in the larger version of the ring he gave me. So when we got there compared the rings and he upgraded to the larger stone for me. It was such a pretty woman moment, we were in Tiffanys, I'm with my fiance, and they bring out Champagne and beautiful glasses and we just took in the moment of our engagement and love and it was amazing. Then we went home and they sent us a small leather turqouise Tiffany's ring pouch to bring with you when you travel and then a month later I got my booklet with all of my information about my ring. I am so blessed and very excited to be able to share this story with my fellow TPFer's. You guys have supported me through hard times on here, so its nice to share a happy story with you as well! :) <3 <3 <3
