Thank you so much for sharing. Can you give me his phone no. I tried to place an online order for the veneta medium rame on Firday and I'm not sure if I secured it as I haven't received any confirmation yet. I wanted the large veneta cobalt. It wouldn't hurt if I ended up having 2 veneta right so long as it's in 2 different colors. :graucho:

I just made the colossal mistake of going to the Bottega boutique in Tysons Galleria (Virginia), and confirmed that they have quite a few bags left, mostly in the off-white color I can't remember the name of and saffron, but a few other colors as well. I had truly only intended to check the stock since I have already ordered a bag (intaglia ebano veneta) from the sale, but they had two mela small capri bags, and they were just so darned cute that one of them ended up going home with me. If you search this thread for "contact info" it's been posted several times. The mods have asked us to be careful not to post his contact info too often.

Wow, I didn't know this. My SA told me that only certain bags were on sale for this weekend only, and that any remainders would return to Italy. I didn't write down exactly what she said, but my impression that she was referring only to the non-seasonal stuff that would never be on sale otherwise (the noce bags; nero Pyramid, Sloane, Roma; intagli Venetas; stuff like that). She said nothing of the sort regarding the truly seasonal items (cruise 09, SS09), so I had assumed that those items would be on sale for however long their sale usually lasts. I guess I was wrong? 3 days seems to short for the BV sale!

Thanks I read the thread and yes I saw the section about the unsold items going back to Italy, but from what I recall it was for certain items namely the Capri from the 25th May 09. I saw on Saturday a list of items in the UK, and I did see some of the items having the words - RT to Italy beside it, I just found it odd, that they would only have a sale in the US on for about 1 week, it just didnt make sense. I guess they will return the items like Capri and keep selling the cruise seasonal items.

I'm really sad that they are shipping the Capri's to Italy. I have never seen the small Capri IRL, and I'm getting it in Mela. I may decide after I finally receive it that I want another. But then it will be too late. :crybaby:

They will show up at the outlet after about a year in Italy. The outlets get past season item, but it takes awhile... they only just got F/W08 at the outlet in March... The outlet had the small Capri in Lotus and a yellow color, some other colors I cannot recall, but the prices were 30% off the outlet price which is 20% off full retail.

Maybe I misunderstood the post, would seem strange if they got rid of all the cruise items just at the beginning of summer... Maybe they will just go back to 30% off or full retail on the seasonal items, if there are any left, sounds like they have been wiped clean...

here's the scoop on the sale. according to my SA the things in the classic colors (nero, noce, ebano) are going back to Italy after today. all the other seasonal stuff that usually goes on sale will hang out for about a month before being shipped to Italy.
