I just emailed them too see how much they quote it.
I sent a bunch of bags to them. Based on the resale market and all the lowball offers, it made sense to accept the buyout from them. Hope it works out for you!

in fact, if I waited a day, I would have received $400 more from a handbag I sold for way under what I should have sold for.

I know exactly how much I want to make out of it. If their offer is not satisfying (which I think it'll be) I'm just going to turn it down and try to sell it elsewhere.

I’m in the same dilemma as OP. I have 2 jumbos and have only used the couple times. One is white caviar and one is red caviar. Besides fashionfile, where else can you sell the bags? I never sell anything before. Thank you

Hi everyone!

I'm debating whether I should keep my classic Jumbo or not. I haven't used it in years, it's not the size for me (too heavy). Although, it's a beautiful bag and I've really really wanted it for a long time. I'm afraid I might reconsider the size/weight issue in the future and regret letting her go.

Reasons why I'd keep it:
  1. It's beautiful and I actually like it even if I'm not using it
  2. I'm afraid I'll change my mind in the future, I don't want regrets.
  3. The price keeps increasing and I might not be able to buy it back
Reasons why I'd sell it:
  1. I'd use the money to partially fund a Kelly which I'm sure I'd get a lot more use out of
  2. I hate seeing bags (money) sitting in my closet
  3. I haven't used it in two years

Let me know your thoughts!

Just curious, why do you think you’d get more use of a Kelly? I love my Kelly’s but find them even more fiddly to get in and out of than my Chanel flaps.

I have several reasons... First one is that I like to wear my bags crossbody and the chain of the jumbo is too long (and even if I shorten it it'd still hurt my shoulders). Second is that the Kelly is very quick and easy to get in because I like to carry it open, the jumbo must be closed every time otherwise it's very unpractical IMO. Third is that when I'm not carrying my bag crossbody I'm carrying it by the top handle and the jumbo doesn't have one.
These are all things I realised throughout the years, when I purchased the jumbo I was just looking at the aestethic.
A few years ago I noticed that the type of bags I was buying and get more us of had all the same features: top handle (1 or 2), shoulder strap, trapezoidal shape (or similar).

And I might have a fourth reason... the kelly is lighter than the jumbo. I became very sensitive about bags weight as I started suffering from back pain.

With that said, the jumbo is still a great bag, just not for me!

I would submit for a quote in fashionfile and then decide. Are you thinking of selling to fashionfile or know someone?
I would sell and buy medium Chanel in caviar right away.
Actually, I am in similar city around. I bought jumbo lambskin in 2019 from 19C and never used it, not even once.
I am also considering maybe selling but depends how much we are offered, right...
if it’s at loss, I would not sell it.

Fashionphile will lowball you especially if you're a first time Seller. Yoogi's offers a bit more.
