Well, here is my new-to-me Balenciaga White Lambskin Leather Giant 21 Gold Brief Bag that I just bought from Yoogi's Closet. What do you experts think, is it a keeper? I really wanted a white Bal bag, but it's not as white as I had hoped. More off-white. But beautiful nevertheless. Seems to be in really good condition. No tears or obvious marks at all.

Should I post in the authenticate thread just to be sure? I don't suspect anything wrong, but again, I'm not the expert like you ladies are. Would love your opinions. Thanks!View attachment 5813713View attachment 5813714
It’s really, really hard to make leather pure white and retain the kind of texture Bals have. The lighter the finished color, the more you have to cover up the natural tone of the leather, and to get to straight, photo white the dyes have to be opaque and thick. So the compromise is that your “white” is a little off but your leather doesn’t feel like it’s covered in paint.

Thank you for that explanation. That makes total sense. The leather feels wonderful and soft. The off-white tone doesn't bother me one bit, I was just expecting it to be more white. But now I know that's just not possible. Thank you!
