Juicy Couture going to Kohl's

... always felt like kohls was more of a bargain shopper.....
That's what they are in my mind, too. They price their stuff higher than other stores & then have coupons.

The charm quality is already down. For example, the dalmation looks like it's all enamel with only two crystals - for the eyes. In the past, the dots might have been crystals and the bow, too.

That seems about right. The quality has been going down on the charms & the new boxes are just cheap & awful. Might fit in with what I think about Kohls having lower quality items. So sad. I hope the original designers can get it back. It used to be such a fun, vibrant line. Don't get me wrong, I still might venture into a Kohls to check out the charms if they are on sale!

I agree. I've noticed a significant drop in quality in Juicy items over the past couple of years. The charms are no where near as nice as I remember them.

I've not gone into a Kohl's in years. It's not really my thing.

I have bought a few JC totes in the last year. Returned them all.
Last one I bought had so much extra dye in the lining it turned my phone case BLACK. Disgusting. Returned as soon as possible. Never buy one again. Kohls or not.
Such a shame.

This is pretty disappointing. I had noticed something was fishy when the huge outlet store in sawgrass mills mall is closing down. Since juicy got purchased by Liz Claiborne it has kind of gone down hill since then. I still love there stuff though so maybe if they still make cute stuff ill make a few purchases at khols. If your in the South FL area though the juicy couture outlet in sawgrass mills was having great sales.

I think Juicy Couture is just desperate to make a come back. I remember when I was in college about ten years ago and the entire female student body wore tracksuits almost everyday. I spent my first lifeguarding paycheck on a pink juicy velour tracksuit! But really, almost no one wears juicy now except for those of us who remember it from its heyday. I actually tried to sell a bunch of my juicy attire (and in excellent shape!) to a consignment store and they wouldn't even take them. Apparently there is no demand. I still think it's disappointing that they're going to a lower end market though. That beloved "J" zipper pull is going to loss it's status. :nogood:

I, too, am worried about quality and brand image. Although Juicy was never haute/premier couture, it was still a designer brand. Kohl's always seems to heavily discount their products and I feel that because of the lower prices, Juicy will lose its status of being designer. Also, think of the over saturation: a $300 tracksuit from the specialty store will more than likely look similar to the discounted options available at Kohl's. It's all fine and dandy until the cheaper options cause Juicy to lose its designer status.

Specifically in my area, the nearest Juicy is 100+ miles away and is therefore "premier" in my area. It's also somewhat rare since Lilly Pulitzer seems to dominate today's teen girl segment.

On one hand, I don't have anywhere to buy Juicy Couture right around me, so it'd be convenient for me if it was at Kohls. But on the other hand, I don't like the sound of where this is going. I feel like the quality is going to go down. And when I think of Kohls, I think bargains. And I wouldn't really wanna buy an 85-100 dollar Juicy Couture fragrance in Kohls? I dunno why, but it just wouldn't fit/sound right for me. Macy's? Sure. Even Bon Ton, okay I can kinda see that? Because they both carry expensive fragrances as well. But Kohls? I just can't see it, and I do like some stuff from Kohls but the image of Juicy Couture would change....I wouldn't think quality, more like bargain yanno? Just doesn't fit.

I went to a Kohls a few weeks ago, because I hadn't seen the news that the move will happen later this year.

Asked the SA at the jewelry counter about Juicy, but she said she hadn't gotten any emails about it. All they had was JC scent. But maybe that's been there all along?
