I prefer the Love. The other one is too edgy for my taste, Im not cool enough to wear nails as jewelry, I'm an old boring style :D

I was attacked once and was really hurt because Im stupid and decided to fight with them. So I actually share the same fears as your husband. If somebody crazy wants my bracelet, they can cut of my hand to get it. People are crazy out there and can kill for $50, God forbid.
So I actually carry a tiny screwdriver with me :D please don't laugh! It's kind of for my sunglasses and I have it in my makeup case :D So if any ******* tries to rob me, God forbid, I would not fight back and would give everything away, my life and health is more important, and there's insurance to cover material things. I just hope he would be patient enough to wait while I'm quietly with my tiny screwdriver trying to get that bracelet off :D

I've been wanting Love forever and finally bought 2 Love last year. No regrets, I love JUC but I'm giving both of bracelets to my DILs one day. So something to think about too if you plan to give it away one day, Love bracelets won't be dated in 30 years time.

That point invites a whole other (excellent to have) problem: if I were to keep the Love now, as my big birthday gift, would it also make sense to stick the JUC away in the bank since I purchased it pre-price increase, and it is likely to keep increasing, in the event that I still love it and want it in the future? I just wonder if I would be able to sell it and not lose any $ on it if I decided not to keep it for myself?

So tough, right?! JUC is definitely edgy, but it is also such a beautiful elegant piece IMO. I am the least edgy person ever so I wonder if it would look strange on me or just look pretty.

Ug, that is totally my husband's fear! I think that I will also carry the Love screwdriver with me (it'll fit into any wallet, after all) if I end up keeping the Love, but I guess I'd just have to hope I was robbed by a patient mugger :graucho: who let me take it off and hand it over...

Do you think JUC is likely to become a classic like the Love? I know it is a newer release, even though the design dates back to the 70s, and I wonder how it will age with time.

You guys are the best, all of these responses are so helpful.

JUC is one of classic I'm sure, but I guess from my perspective, once mine goes to my DILs, it symbolize love and I find it weird if they are shaped like a nail ya know. But if you intend to keep it for yourself either one shouldn't matter.

Update: There is NO UPDATE :rolleyes::rolleyes: I still haven't made a decision and I am still wavering between Love, JUC, or keep Love & JUC and stick one away for a few years. And I have only a week or so left before I can no longer return the JUC for a full refund.

I have the love but dream about the JUC and it's my next holy grail piece! I think both is the perfect mix! I'd keep the JUC for a Christmas or birthday gift next year!
